I didn't say "verbally attack." I said "personally attack." You're entirely focused on the poster and not the post. So yes, you're personally attacking the people that piss you off. I'm sick of reading it so I'm done with you.
Your last hundred posts are not really related to basketball. You behave like drunk bully in the bar. Who just woke up. Just sayin.
Maybe that’s my mentality right after somebody on here for the SECOND time tried to go after with my family and my personal life. Your opinion is noted and I will work on it.
I remember during the period with "so called jail blazer era" people spoke and protested by no longer supporting the team. If you purchase toilet paper as a product and dont like it or the way its packaged, you'll buy something else eventually. 2/3's of the league never even sniff the title. The NBA is FanTastic....you'll come back now ya here!
Most of those people were hypocrites. They were perfectly happy to support the Jail Blazers while they were winning and going to the WCF. But once they started losing those fans magically found Jesus and started protesting by not going to games anymore or supporting the team.
In your opinion, who's the best new coach/new team so far this year? And why? Rivers Nash Donovan Silas Bjorkgren Lue Stan the man Van Gundy Thibs Dagneault? Id go with Thibs right now just because he seems to be bring the team together. Question is, will he piss someone off or wear them out?
This is what to quoted- "Some 5-6 posters on every thread saying the exact same things. It's really getting ridiculous. Pretty much read the first 4-5 words of a comment.... NEXT! lather rinse repeat." This was my comment- I have not edited my comment. You left off "Need to pretty much just merge every thread into this one around here."
Actually, I click on this thread so I can wallow in the pure and unadulterated negativity......and hope against hope we keep Stotts long enough for this thread to not only surpass the Melo thread, but give the Coronavirus thread a run for the money. I’m personally entertained by all the angst and agony. There’s something about watching/listening to people futilely bang their heads against a wall over a game they personally have no control over (and never will) that helps me keep my own life in perspective. So I appreciate everyone’s efforts, no matter how tiring they may get........and I continue to enjoy the gift that is Dame Lillard while we have him.....with a ring or without.......
Thank you! And anyone who doesn’t like it can put me on ignore........no different than being married......
The problem isn't the people clicking on the threads. It's that every thread is becoming a "Fire Stotts" thread. Seriously. There are 30-40 active threads going right now with the exact same comments by the exact same people. This is supposed to be the "Official Blazers Fan Site". Doesn't seem like this place can sustain that title at the current pace. It's becoming the "Official Blazer complaint center". We are losing posters guys. Don't think for a second we aren't. Way more are leaving than are joining. I can accept that some people dislike or don't agree with Terry Stotts or his coaching style. I can accept that a number of people want something different. I can even accept that there is a thread about it. No problem with any of that. Where i have a problem is when i click on a thread about Nurk it's about how terrible Stotts is. When i click on a thread out a recent trade it's all about how bad Stotts is. When i click on a thread about our improving defense it's all about how bad Stotts is. Then there are threads about Melo, Zion, Powell, Game threads. All end up with the same people saying Stotts is Terrible! This is all happening when the team is beating every reasonable expectation they could be having right now. Stotts has been here for an eternity by coaching standards. His day is coming for sure. All things come to an end. Terry Stotts is not getting fired 11 games above 500 in a covid shortened year where his defense is sure to improve and has now that he has most of his players healthy. This is something i have said and will repeat. I will welcome with open arms an solid choice for a new head coach should the Blazers go that route. But until then Stotts is simply going to continue to do what he always does. He will do his best to win games and put the best team on the floor he can. Just because some in here don't agree that what is doing is that doesn't mean he isn't.
So let me get this straight, you either want people in here to be fair weather fans or accept that we never sniff a championship because nineteen other teams won't either? Expecting your team to try and reach what should be every team's goal is what being a fan is about. Coming up woefully short of that goal for nine straight seasons and not changing the coach or GM is not a very good example of trying. Also what's this "never even sniff the title" thing? During the Olshey/Stotts era 14 different teams have been to the finals (I'd say that's sniffing the title) we obviously aren't one of those teams. That's one off of being half of the league. 9 teams have won the title. I think it makes you less of a fan to accept your team being one of the 21 worst teams in the league than if you expect them to be one of the 9 best teams in the league. Also "never" is an absolute and absolutes almost always makes you absolutely wrong. Since we won our only title over half of the league has won at least one... so I don't think two thirds have never even sniffed the title.
Dont get so riled man, I was just offering my opinion on things. People can be what they want as far as fandom. I believe only 10 of 30 have won championships in last 40 years. Every year there are only maybe 6-8 teams that are even considered serious contenders so Im going into a season hopeful to be one of those. My thing today is I bet Jody and Bert access GM & Coach performance on more than if the team makes the finals, not saying its right but things seem to be status quo. This year is throwing all franchises for loop because of the revenue loss. Its obvious change is a coming, at some point, always does.
I'll take it a step further: I'd bet money that making the finals isn't even top 5 on Jody and Bert's priorities when evaluating the GM or Coach.
