Ok. I’m talking about during games which is what was referenced when people were saying he should call more timeouts and get on guys. At least that’s what I read. That doesn’t work. It really doesn’t work anytime in my opinion. I was actually in the gym when PJ got choked by Spree so maybe I’m jaded but what I saw. Yelling at guys at that level rarely if ever works.

Huge difference in the way PJ used to yell all the time.
What we are talking about is emotion. Raising your voice bringing out some character. Stotts never even seems to bring even the slightest notion he even cares when they are blowing it.

You call time outs to stop runs or you see something there not executing properly and you get it corrected at that time instead waiting 4 minutes later. Time out could be if you see your team start to be winded and they need a break. I believe they get 7 per half. I have seen pro coaches if they even think there other team is going on a run they will call time out. I do believe at times Stotts does have trouble when he takes a time out. But Stotts isn't going anywhere until he looses this team and haven't seen that yet.

Pop gets away with raising his voice but most coaches in this league properly loose there players pretty fast.

How do we know he doesn’t raise his voice or show emotion? Anyway. I just don’t think Stotts is the problem at this point. I put it squarely on the players.

Dana Altman should coach both the Ducks and Blazers!

if the Blazers dont improve their game by the game #30, I wouldnt hesitate a second to tell Terry Stotts to fuck off... our offense has been trash, and unless we improve that, were gonna end up being 8th seed, or maybe not even in the playoffs

I expect us to be 5th seed, 6th at worst

Pretty much looking like Stotts might have called a little better play than to have Dame try to iso and go into the lane against probably the best rim protector in the league.

Dame and/or CJ cannot have an off day or we're screwed. No matter who the coach is.

To a point i agree but other players need to produce also. If it's always simply Dame and CJ then this team is screwed no matter what also. The only player that shot 50% last night was Nurkic. And that should be the standard for a center. Dame shot 12-27. CJ 6-20. Aminu 2-6? I guess Harkless got 50% with 2-4 but how is he only shooting the ball 4 times? Turner, Pat and Vonleh were 4-14. No coach anywhere can look good with that?

Harkless hasn't been a volume shooter, even when there are shots to be had. I've written a few times that I think we've seen the player Harkless is and will be. His FG% is way down this season, though, and his FGA are only down slightly (from 8.1 to 7.3) from last season.

    12-27 isn't horrible shooting. It's Dame's 3pt shooting that sucked last night.

We're losing games that we really should be winning, against teams we should beat. That's of real concern.

Agree on Harkless. He is pretty much at his ceiling the way i see it. A couple plays every other game but you are never going to be able to rely on him carrying the team for a stretch in a quarter when they really need it.

If we lose to the Little Baller L@kers then maybe the answer to the question is "YES!"

Okay so a mid season fire is a huge issue. You probably end up with David Vanderpool as interim. How is that better? I don't see it.
