I know it's Fansided but it doesn't need to be legitimized your claim needs sources and this person is claiming that the national news outlets were sourcing Jaynes who had no sources. Just find a link to a story that says they even have an anonymous source. I haven't found one. https://ripcityproject.com/2020/03/04/portland-trail-blazers-sale/
I don't even get into these conversations much because this is FACT! I am just a Fan. Kjironman is a fan!!!
And how exactly does that manifest itself into us being a worse team? Dame doesnt play as hard? Dame becomes toxic? How does it manifest itself to a worse product on the court?
I honestly don’t care who goes first but it’s become abundantly clear that both need to go. If the ownership group doesn’t value winning and don’t see the championship as their ultimate goal (as opposed to ONLY making money) then I hope the ownership group changes as well. This city deserves it, and the fan base deserves a team whose sole goal is to win another championship.
Something I read maybe it's not true but then I recommend maybe they should let the whole coaching staff go at the end of the year if the play doesn't improve.
You seem to think that something went wrong if a coach or GM didn't last 10 years. You just don't understand the process: You have to go through several mediocre coaches/GMs to find a top one. Prolonging ordinary coaches like Stotts just delays the discovery of a top one.
It could get worse if the players love him and a new coach, or interim coach, comes in and thinks he’s going to install something better to a bunch of grown men who are pissed off that he’s even there. I am not saying this will happen, but it could happen. It’ll be interstate to see the Timberwolves and how much they improve with this Midseason change. I suspect a short term uptick and then back to being shitty.
Nas Little keeps getting in the game without any consideration of him on the offensive end of the floor despite shooting one of the highest percentages on the team. Stotts gonna Stotts.
Does this team ever watch film? How can you watch the last four games and think .. 'yeah, let's do this again night after night!' Our shot selection is straight butt cheeks and being last in assists per game is a recipe for another first round exit. It really doesn't matter about the personnel at this point, the Blazers do not play winning basketball. If Melo, Hood, Cov, and Trent had missed wide-open threes off of dribble penetration and ball movment? Sure, you can chalk up a loss to the ball not going in. But watching every member of the team try to size up their defender from the perimeter and iso their way into a contested jumper? Hell no, that's poor coaching.
That post indicates that we are in highschool musical, which we are not. After tonights game I am aware that not only we don't play any great defence, but we don't play any offence neither. Argument that players like Stotts is now only argument on his side. How can you even take this argument seriously in professional job?
No, you don't. You worry whether the very next coach will be better than Stotts. That doesn't matter. What matters is that it will start a process of finding a better coach, who may be 2-3 coaches in the future. Just keep changing them every 2-3-4 years. So you keep reawakening this thread, with the sole purpose of ridiculing those of us who understand the process.
