pacers are still very much alive and kicking. they won last nights game because....well they won pretty much because tim hardaway came in and put the team on his achy breaky 30 sumthihng back, but they also won because Pierce drove to the hoop where he was maulled by Oneal and Artest and the refs had already made up their minds that they were not going to call a foul no matter WHAT. pierce shouldve gone for the jumper....its anyones series now. no reazson pacers arent good enough to win two in a row against the underdog celtics

I predict 2 teams are gone today.

Hornets will be the first team and later on the Jazz will get ousted.

I think the Pacers are done in Boston. It took them OT, homecourt advantage, missed FT's by Walker, clutch Timmy, and the Celtics went on a 7 minute stretch of not scoring. The Pacers also shot 10 more FT's than Boston and they were under 40% for field goal percentage.

The Celtics are great at home and they still know how to finish teams. The Celtics should have won this game, but the Pacers showed a lot of heart and did what they needed to do to get the win. The Pacers however were 16-25 on the road this year, and I think they will be emotionally drained for the next game. The Celtics will also be tired, but the energy from the Celtic fans will be exactly what they need to finish off the Pacers in 6. I think the momentum of the game switched after Eric Williams picked up 2 stupid fouls. Pierce rarely has back to back poor games, and I expect a huge 30+ performance from him.

yeah "they" meaning the pacers had a bad shooting night, shooting under 40%.

agreed. it only took one game to completely shift the momentum of the series. i think shap tho as usual makes some good points. the pacers arent a great road team and pierce doesnt usually have consecutive bad games. he tends to feed of the home crowd which is how he explained his third quarter explosion on sundya, but again this series isnt over by far and itll be over after tomorrow for the eam who loses no matter who it is

That overtime was one of the worst if not worst in NBA history...was shocking to see.

If pacers hadn't of blew that 12 point halftime lead in game 4 they would be the ones with the advantage...but now they are on the back foot...i expect celtics to get game 6...

yea. that was awful. it was humiliating that the celtics went 7minutes without scoring. all they ahd to do to end the series was not get outscored by NINE in the fourth quarter and they idid exactly that. i still think it was kind of a bogus non call on pierce at the end of regulation but maybe he shouldve konwn they werent gonna call anything no matter what

Well, Utah was the first to bite the big one. I should have known because Utah spelled backwards is Hatu which is American Indian meaning "first to be eliminated." )

Olskool, get with the program and have a little faith. It's not as if Vin Baker will be playing in the Celtics/Pacers game on Thursday......although he will be watching the game on the telly, probably sitting at a local watering hole outside the Fleet Center getting snoggered. P

naw he aimnt showing his face in massachussettes. hes probably stewing around in the streets of hartford in some gutter wondering how he's gonna get his life back together. i guess the odds are still in the celtics favore. better to be leading the series than trailing, i just hope i havent already junxed them into losing
