I know. It's scary. Rudy was barely involved in the offense.

It was the defense. Nobody was moving so and if they did they werent getting open, so Roy took over. Didnt we just see the same game?

I hope I don't sound like Mixum, but I didn't feel very good about this win. The biggest thing that bothered me was that despite Nate insisting on going inside, despite Yao and Mutumbo being out for long stretches, only Roy attacked the basket.

The other thing that bothers me is seeing Brooks almost beat us again. We seem to really have missed out on finding a quick moving, quick thinking PG, passing on Brooks, passing on Mario Chalmers, picking Taureen Green over Ramon Sessions after working them both out.

Except against Blake, who beats him in every statistical category imaginable.

    I don't get it. :dunno:

No such thing as a bad win, particularly in the play-offs, but there was nothing about this game to give us any hope for winning in Houston.

BTW, I have been defending Outlaw all season - but tonight he played like crap.

Only Roy had the ball, and he wasn't sharing it.

We have that guy. His name is Jerryd Bayless. Brooks isn't a point guard. He isn't a passer. He's a scorer and he's scoring. Bayless could do what Brooks is doing, but he can't get off the bench.

Nate took him out early...for what, because Blake telegraphed a fucking pass that Von Wafer stole? wack. Rudy needs to be more involved. But ROY and LMA saved our ASSES tonight.

If he would have, we'd have lost.

But the team played their best of the game while he was in, +9.

Some things, particularly team defense, are hard to see when they happen and don't have stats.

I disagree, but then again, I think that the Blazers at their core are a better basketball team than Houston. I think that tonight's win gave this young squad the ability to think they can WIN this series. Blazers steal one in Houston, the momentum swings RIGHT back to Portland.

If anything, tonight's game proves that Brandon Roy can dominate a game in the playoffs.

More likely we would have blown them out.

    That's how we roll.

This game was more about freak runs than team offense/defense. If you think about it, the Rockets had that freak run at the end.....it was a game of streaks and it just happened to end when the blazers went on their final streak. can't deny it, after their streak, Brooks caught fiyah.

And the Twin Towers was an EPIC FAILURE. not saying it won't work next game but tonight, when the rockets are shooting that good, its not gonna work.

Great win. The missed free throws and Brooks bombs at the end gave me a heart attack though.

Most succesful lineup of the night was Joel, Greg, TO, Rudy and Sergio.

When Nate pulled Sergio after 2:59 it immediately stopped working due to the towers being frozen out on offense.

He shouldn't have shared it obviously since he won us the damn game. Aldridge was the only one to step up from last game. That along with Roy's clutchness and Pryz' defense saved us. After shooting lights out two games in a row, the Rockets are due for a slump at home now.
