<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom Kowalski)</div><div class='quotemain'>Sims delivers in first practice Notes for Sunday's morning workout ... Lions first-round draft pick Ernie Sims, who signed a five-year contract this morning, made an immediate impact at practice. On one of his first plays in the 9-on-7 drill, he delivered a forearm shiver to rookie running back Brian Calhoun. Sims also made a diving interception in front of Eddie Drummond and, during a running play, he took on a block by veteran guard Brock Gutierrez so violently that Gutierrez hooted and smiled and patted him on the butt. Remember though, that this was the fifth practice for everybody else so Sims has fresh legs and is going to be a little faster and hit with a little more pop. Still, it was an impressive start.</div>

We not even talk about a real game, we takling about practive First, one play was made on a rookie back, probably a sign he isnt going to make it. 2nd, if he was able to dive for interception drummond was coming back for the ball, and i saw your blockers last year, they were doing same thing in games, they would get taken on so hard, they would pay guy on butt as he went by them.
Eagles DT Bunkley signs after a long holdout. He makes more money than Ngata who was selected a few slots before him.
Jason Allen & the phins are still haggling over length of contract. The monetary amount has been decided on. I heard Leinart & Arizona are miles apart. There may be 1 or 2 other holdouts left.
I stand corrected. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Miami Herald)</div><div class='quotemain'>The major obstacle in the Jason Allen negotiations is no longer the number of years each side wants to agree upon, agent Mitch Frankel said Friday, but rather the total package of the deal. 'We've discussed both a five-year and a six-year contract and we would be willing to do a six-year contract,'' Frankel said. ``The hold-up now is not the length of the contract. We just haven't been able to agree on the overall terms.'' It is clear that Frankel expects more money to sign a six-year deal than what the Dolphins are offering. Frankel said that talks continue, ''not every day, but we talk often.''</div>
