I get the impression that the majority of NBA GMs would rather have Chris Paul than Deron Williams right now. I also agree that TMac and Arenas are overrated, even though I'd love to have Arenas on my team.

So, what was up with that Bargnani pick? Really? That high for a guy who hasn't done anything substantial in the NBA yet?

Oh, and Gfan - good luck building around Vince Carter. I'm sure you'll be able to field a championship level team with him as your best player.

Durant seems to have the Jordan single-mindedness thing going on, which is really rare in players as talented as he is. You're talking about players like KG, Kobe, Kidd when you talk about that combination.

I'd actually put down a friendly bet that in 5 years, the average NBA fan would rather build a team around Durant than LeBron. LeBron's got more talent, but Durant's got the winning gene.

and lebron doesn't have the winning gene? didn't he just will his team to the finals?

The Nets were undermanned and not talented enough to beat the Cavs, and Detroit had no idea what it was doing on defense because Flip Saunders is a gawd-awful coach.

Not to take anything away from LeBron's incredible series against Detroit, but that had a lot more to do with the ineptness of the players around him than it did with him entering the Russell-MJ-Bird-Magic-Isiah class of player. It was very, very good, but like pretty much his entire career, blown out of proportion way too early.

I'd be interested to see how LeBron reacted to a real, championship caliber coach.

Is it fair for the guy ahead of me that he had to pick before like 5am? I don't want to hold the draft up but it seems cheeky.

Speeds, when we vote on teams at the end of this, you aren't going to be able to have Brand in your lineup because he isn't able to play

If you would like to change your pick, go ahead.

or Reggie Miller. Whose going to take Reggie Miller? I can't take Reggie Miller, I already have one twig on my team, don't need two guys that can't bench press the weight once.
