Is Boykins even playing in the NBA next year? Might be a wasted pick there.

He opted out of a 3M option, but I think he'll sign on somewhere before the season starts.

Boykins and May were good choices for your team. They give you some much needed scoring.

    Marshall's toasted.

As far as Boykins (and Charlie Bell) in the real NBA, that has to be interesting. Boston seems to have decided that they will not spend anymore money.

Cleveland has the MLE at their disposal, but they've put a spending cap too it seems.

So who is willing to take on these guys? Detroit, they are loaded in the backcourt now, but aren't even trying too hard to retain Webber. San Antonio with the Scola trade seems to be indicating they aren't going to take on any more money, and Phoenix you can just forget about. Miami wouldn't retain Posey for money, so cap reasons there as well.

So that leaves Houston, Dallas, and Chicago. One of these teams could get these guys, and bolster their teams further. Thats amazing. Boykins would fill that Pargo role, only better for the Bulls, and give them a deadly bench (Duhon/Boykins/Nocioni/Noah/Smith/Sefo/Gray as the 7 main guys off your bench is sick). Bell seems to be Dallas headed, or out of the league and over to Europe otherwise imo. But I think Boykins will stick in the league.

It'll be very interesting to see what happens with those two, both could provide good things for some contenders. Cavs and their spending limit is the funniest in not attempting to go after either of those guys.

    FWIW

I considered drafting Ruben Patterson in the 5th round. I'm quite happy he fell to me in round 8.

If I put out Patterson, Boozer, and Dampier, my front line each shoots about 55% or higher. When building around Iverson, the rest of the team better be efficient.

Patterson gives me another good defender on the wing, and can play 3 positions. He's also my 2nd guy off the bench who averaged over 10PPG.

I like the Kwame pick a lot. I've always liked Yell, but I think he's got very little gas left in the ol' tank.

Sam Cassell is a nice pick. Despite his age, he's allergic to losing, and that's something that never goes away.

One of the reasons I picked him was for his age, he can help Felton out. I also like that the fact I was reuniting him with KG.

    sonofab****!

really, really, really wanted Cassell. Thought about trading up, and didn't. Damn.

If anyone is interested in Rondo, I'd be interested in trading him now, maybe for one of the next 10 picks, or maybe multiple picks. Give me a PM, I probably won't need much.

your welcome. IMO he is a solid defense point guard, with pretty good shooting and pretty good point guard abilities. He was on my list, if he slipped far enough, i would've picked him up.

Yeah, liked the Watson pick a lot too. That's two really solid PGs off the board.

Still reeling from that Cassell pick. He would have been PERFECT. Bah!
