I'm interested to hear more. When I go to Costa Rica next month I'll be with 8-9 former Army Rangers and I bet that some would probably like to bring their firearms. Can you provide more information?

President Donald Trump is telling the nation’s governors that he would have run into the deadly Florida high school shooting “even if I didn’t have a weapon.”

The president is again finding fault with officers who didn’t stop the Florida gunman who carried out the massacre earlier this month. Trump says the deputies “weren’t exactly Medal of Honor winners.”

He tells 39 of the nation’s governors, “I really believe I’d run in there even if I didn’t have a weapon.”

Trump is vowing to turn the nation’s “grief into action” following the mass school shooting that killed 17 people. Trump says that while “our nation is heartbroken,” the U.S. needs “to have action” on measures related to school safety and gun violence.

If you believe you are smarter and better than everyone you might actually do it.

Do I think he'd really do that? Nope.

Do I THINK that I might try and sneak in there and do something? I THINK so, unless you find yourself in that situation how do you really know?

Geez! I find it difficult to look down on those that found a way out of going to Vietnam. From the moment of the Gulf of Tonkin incident
I knew that Johnson was telling us baloney. We should have impeach him for that one rather than send young men to Vietnam.
Especially in view of history where Truman would not help the Vietnamese, whom were our allies in WWII, prevent the French from returning to Indo China.
Two Democrat Presidents created that mess and it was in plain view for all to see.

Well......this looks like it will cover a small, below the waist part of a body. Still trying to figure out why the reservoir tip needs to be Kevlar but I’m sure someone here can explain it to me........

I wasn't alive then but knowing what my uncle was supposed to be like before he went and what he was like when I grew up I wish he'd got out of that mess somehow

Really! So fucking wrong. I do blame Americans for not paying attention too! Two Democrat Presidents did this and we shuffled along with it, like a herd of dumb shits. And the correct history is not taught even to this day.

Of course in your telling, Eisenhower and Nixon both had clean hands on Vietnam. Hell, Nixon persuaded the North Vietnamese to drag their heels on the peace talks in order to get elected. Then he allowed the war to drag out for another 4 years. Quit demonizing the Democrats and admit that politicians in general are shitheels in the pockets of corporations. And Americans (sadly) ARE a herd of dumbshits. Just look at what’s going on today on both sides of the fence. Christ, it took the Kent State massacre for my patriotic dad to finally decide that he’d rather see his three draft eligible sons go to prison than to Vietnam. Unfortunately it usually takes a tragedy before we even think about pulling our collective heads out of our collective asses........and sorry, but even the most disinterested high school kids know we lost in Vietnam and that we should never have been there in the first place.

well said....I'd say the Korean war had a bit of a lasting effect on the country as well.....glad there's no draft for kids today....Trump, however is pretty far from a heroic dude.....but he hates democrats so they'll prop him up

Naw, no real pass to those guys either. Nixon did not start the fiasco, but he sure as hell did not do the right thing either. I never could vote for that man, never did.
Eisenhower Did not do the initial screw up either, but he did let it go forward doing nothing. I do not hold him on high either. I served under him... Well I have written my views on him several times, and don't need to repeat it here. I left out Kennedy too, because I don't really know much about his lack of doing anything to get us out of the shit to come.

Yes, they know this line. What they do not learn is the total bull shit that put us in position and the total deceit , lies, and manipulation that push us into the mess we were lead to endure.

Let's revisit Trumps dissing of John McCain's war record....he likes heroes who don't get caught...for him to even hint that he's willing to put himself in harms way for anyone is pure bluster....he's claimed Flynn is a great guy....poor judge of character across the board...like how Nixon was left out of the Viet Nam problem.....probably because of his partisan preferences. Trump is the same guy who said he could shoot somebody on 5th avenue in NY and the people would still love him....now he claims he'd go after a shooter unarmed in a hail of gunfire...if you believe that, you're definitely out of touch with reality
