It really has to do with how the beach is run and who runs it. I have personally stepped on dog shit here in Florida, but that was at a beach that wasn't in a state park. The no dog rule in the state parks here is mainly to prevent predation and degradation of nesting shorebirds, which nest in the dune area parallel to the beach. Guess who helps run that program? My sister! So, you can thank her for the fecally devoid panhandle beaches.
More dogs would help to Make Oregon Great Again. Don't make me derail your campaign before it even gets off the ground.
