Opened a can of pumpkin for @GrandpaBlaze's belated cookies. Lucia heard can opener and came running. She was disappointed it wasn't for her. Gave her a saucer of milk and opened a can of tuna for lunch. She is happier.
Made some beef and barley soup with leftover prime rib I had from christmas. It was insanely delicious soup!
Not a huge soup person and “Beef and Barley” does not sound appealing to me. Never had it that I know of, maybe I have, and hated it. There is one soup which won my heart though, and it is something I’d always go for - French Onion. Potato chowder by bear creek is the only other soup I’d say that I actually like.
I respect your aversion to soup. Some are better than others, for sure. Potato soup and French Onion are the two best, in my opinion. That chicken noodle when you're sick and turkey and dumpling after thanksgiving are also fire.
I can’t stand chicken noodle though. I don’t really like the taste of dark meat chicken or what I’d otherwise refer to “strong chicken flavor” or Turkey either. It’s not really soup, but chicken long rice made with plenty of chicken, garlic, ginger, chicken stock, onions, and bean threads is probably equivalent to most peoples feelings on chicken noodle.
I actually have not, and I don’t really mind the taste of beets. Once you get past that some what natural dirt flavor to it, they are pretty nice. Love putting beets in homemade juice. I take it you’d recommend?
I had chicken soup for breakfast. I made it with chicken and lots of vegetables. Cooked a few noodles separately and added in. It was good. I do like soup.
I'd never tell you what to do, but I bet the winner would appreciate it! Olive Garden is mostly garbage, but my wife and I (fiance at the time) made some zuppa recently and it was delicious. I love soup!
