I only know one kid at my school, and he told only the girls in one of his class and he hangs out with only girls...not a lot of people know he's gay cause if everyone (more "popular or "badder" kids) found out, that guy would always be ridiculed and looked down upon.</div>

Actually, there are more than you'd think. My school has a big arts program, so I know of a few gays at my school, and at least 10 that are strongly suspected of being gay (lispy voice, feminine, etc.). There aren't a lot of "bullies" at my school because the principals are super strict, so they're not afraid of coming out. All the schools in our division are required to have gay-friendly matchmaker services.

That's quite interesting because the dude from my school is an dramatic arts student as well...Also, if it were just for feminine/lipsy voices, there's a shi*tload of "suspected" gay and bisexual people in our school.

But on the real, not many at my school would actually admit to something like that...firstly cause I don't think many would actually accept at this point that they're gay, and secondly because they would be ridiculed and laughed at from a distance (or even personally)...that's just how ignorant my school is on issues such as this. For every intelligent person with an open mind in highschool, there are ALOT of people who don't have those same views and only stick to one side. I'd like to give the guy credit (the one who told the girls) for atleast being brave enough to come out, but when he goes off telling the girls which guys he thinks is hot and what not and the girls end up telling the dude that he thought is hot, then it gets uncomfortable and awkward and creates unncesccary friction.

Ignorant student bodies in highschool + gay teenagers= bad combination.
