I do have Costco, don’t know about that but I’ll look into it. Tried to contact a dealer but they told me they won’t make any remote offers on trade ins.
Do you live in a decent neighborhood? If so, park it on the lawn, remove at least one of the wheels, leave the hood up, etc. When one of your neighbors wants to sell their house you can negotiate a good price for getting rid of the eyesore. barfo
A Ferrari V6 is in those things iirc “FCA poached Ferrari engineers to lead the development of the Giulia.”
I've always gotten the blue book value and used that to haggle with the new car dealer as a trade in.
Call a dealer (dont go in) and ask for fleet manager. If he's not in leave a message for him to return your call. He will sell you a car at a small amount over invoice. They are usually salary but have monthly quotas to hit.
It is one of the worst times to buy a new car right now. Dealers are marking up like crazy because of the chip shortage and people are still buying cars. It is nuts. Good luck man. Sorry about your luck with the Ford car.
I’ve bought two cars through Costco and found it to be a positive and stress free experience. Even better, you can use the threat of Costco to get a better deal from a “non Costco” dealer. I did that with the last car I bought and they couldn’t give me the Costco price fast enough. It’s worth a try…..
I used your Costco idea on a new car for the wife. It was a better deal than the 6 dealers I went through. Cant use a fleet department anymore it seems.
used for new vehicle for wife. Going to sell her 11 year Altima loaded 61K my self. Dealers tell me im sitting on a gold mine with the used Nissan. Then they low ball you if used for trade in.
We had a garage sale a couple of weeks ago. A gal drives up in a 2017 Honda Ridgeline. Same year and make as mine. She just purchased it used. She told me she paid $35k for it. That's the same price I paid for mine new in late 2016. Man, talk about crazy times.
nah, we've been retired 9 years and its pretty much get to the store and such. I want to keep it but she has a tough time getting in it as it's a low rider. lol Only second new car we've ever purchased and they've both been hers. Went with a SUV that rides a bit higher up. We look at used low mile cars but may as well buy new for what they want. Still hurts when i spend money on a vehicle unless it's a truck that can pull.
I've used Costco on my last two cars. Could have probably gotten a better deal but that would have involved an immense emotional drain and a lot of work.
