Is this a case where, say, you have to be on the phone during set hours, and there's no way of getting around those perimeters?
People have tried to have actual discussions with you, many times. To which you respond flippantly. Again, you do you, man. I'm not trying to go down that road.
From my experience and reading up, it seems like some people consider condescension and ridicule actual discussions. For example: I started this thread. A poster said this idea would not work for him. I explained my ignorance in not understanding and apologized and asked for more info to better understand why it wouldn't work. The response was… well it wasn't worthy of being considered a discussion in my opinion… I will leave it at that.
https://www.businessinsider.com/4-d...nce-productivity-retention-revenue-2023-1?amp In the largest-ever experiment of its kind, 33 companies adopted a four-day workweek. The results were conclusive: It's time for everyone to take Fridays off.
4 day work week is very popular in my line of work. Lots of companies do it. 4 days, 10 hours a day. Gives you a three day weekend with the 40 hour check. Reduces the amount of time you end up driving/commuting.
Before I had kids I looked forward to the weekends because I could screw around and do whatever I wanted. Now I look forward to the work week , because compared to being with the kids nonstop on the weekend, I can screw around and do whatever I want.
Yeah, we have employees who work 4 tens, and some who work 3 twelves. But I think this is talking about working 4 eights for the same pay as 4 tens.
Yes. You have to go through the link in the story to find it but they are talking about 35-36 hours and the same pay. "Public sector employees taking part in two large trials between 2015 and 2019 worked 35-36 hours per week, with no reduction in pay. Many participants had previously worked 40 hours a week."
Last two jobs before this one I was doing 4 day work weeks. That 3rd day off changes EVERYTHING. Last 6 months out of necessity I've been working at least 6 days a week, sometimes 18 days in a row. Lately I've been able to take consecutive days off. But man, do I miss 4 day work weeks. They absolutely need to become the norm. Productivity will skyrocket.
