<div class="quote_poster">Quoting The Bogut Bomb:</div><div class="quote_post">who lol</div> What are you saying who to?
Man I am not even a real Magic fan and this makes me sick! The Magic should have just drafted a player who they know will make an automatic impact. Even if Fran played in the NBA he wouldn't have done anything, he said he "wasn't ready to play" or what ever why did you declare for the draft then Fran? That doesn't make any sense, the Magic could have had Hakim Warrick, Mccants, May, and the lists goes on of good players they could have picked.

Someone brought that up but I don't remember who.
@B-22 / Swish15 It's not like he declared or that he had to declare, he was automatically eligable and yes that's because of his age. It's just the same as with the college players who finished their college, they don't declare they are automatically eligable as opposed to high schoolers, or college players who didn't finish college or under 22 European players, all of them need to specifically declare for the draft and are then the early entries. However, I heard that it would've been possible for him to withdraw from the draft and for this reason, I assume that he used the draft to increase his market value in Spain or to be more precise his Spanish agent might have come up with this idea. Some would still consider him coming to the green room as an indication and his willingness to play in the NBA. I wouldn't think so. He had an invitation and maybe wanted this chance to come to New York, see the city and be part of a great event. Fran was considered NBA ready by many scouts him saying he's not ready is just a poor excuse. He wouldn't have started from the beginning but that's only because there are adjustments to make and he would've needed to get used to here.

It's not often that you get a low risk player at 11. I'm not mad at the pick at all. I'm just disappointed that he didn't want to come over seas to play for us. Personally I think he woulda had a solid season and ended the year in the starting lineup with Dwight. I would have predicted about 15-20 mins, with 7 pts 5 boards for him. Another thing, how do you know the players that you said will make an automatic impact? Dicky V, the same Dicky V, who is on Sean May's nuts, projected Vazquez to be the BEST PF in the draft. Over Warrick, over May, over Villanueva. Our GM's are still going overseas, so hopefully we can work something out so that he will be in a Magic uni the following season(or maybe even this season).
