Stats for France/Belgium (Who's this W. Parker?) Stats for Spain/Poland Rubio didn't do much. Navarro continues his insane scoring spree, and Marc Gasol is again Spain's "other" player. Shame Memphis is such a shithole or it could've had quite the team. (How soon before Gasol gets out of there?) On a positive Blazer note: Rudy leads the team in assists (not hard), and Claver is joint leader in rebounding. For the Poles, Gortat gets an insane 16 rbs.
I slept right through this, but France annihilated the Belgians in the return leg, 92-54. boxscore Batum finished with 8 points in 17 minutes on 4/5 shooting. France will be in Group B with Russia, Germany, and Latvia. They play one game against each team (all games are being played in Poland, the host country), starting out against Germany on September 7th.
France losing the first game to Belgium in the final series seemed an aberration. They sure fixed it. But Batum had his second very quiet game. I wish we could get these games on TV.
