Trading Francis for Sheed...that's turning where the rockets are now to a Grizzlie without Pau Gaysol..man sheed is playing the worst basketball of his life..he looks past his prime, plus he's a troublemaker and a druggie..I wouldn't trade Mo for him</div>

Umm. Mo's a druggie as well.

I agree that Francis is a great player who is one of the few with a killer crossover...but this is a guy who is clearly not happy and not productive in JVG's slow-down, halfcourt style...eventually he will be gone, imo...he is not compatible with the offense or the coach...he is also inconsistent, which is not good for a point guard...I think if there was some way to get involved in a 3-way deal with Atlanta and philly, and somehow get Wallace and Eric Snow, it would be great...its not highly unlikely either, as it is probable that Wallace will not want to resign in Atlanta, and Philly is shopping Snow like crazy...I just think now is the time when Francis will have max value, especially as a Rocket, where his numbers will only likely drop as Ming gets more and more touches...

All I can hope is that Francis matures. Good offensive player no doubt, but he just seems to hog the ball too often and turn it over quite a lot. As good as he is, there are people who would be of much more use to the Rockets than he. Someone with a better form of leadership and an overly better player. As for who I have in mind, none.

Mobley is a great defender much like Snow. It'd be fair either way, any team that had both would be set on defense on stealing and simply disrupting shots. However that's not going to happen so the realistic thing to do truly is rid yourselves of Francis. As hard as it is, you know you can find better.

Van Gundy would love to have Snow as his catalyst on offense, but Snow doesn't provide the offense to help the Rockets make up for the void left by Steve. However, what I'm hearing is that the Rockets get Snow and Wallace for Francis and Mo. That would make it more reasonable.

I'm quite confused with the way this trade is going, can someone explain it to me?

From my understanding, a player who is just traded cannot be traded again for a period of time...So i don't think this cuold ever happen

But I agree with most ppl in here, the Rockets need to either trade Francis, Mobley, or both in order to take the next step...They've given francis a number of years to develop into a better point guard, and its about time they give up and move him to the 2...

Moving Francis to the two might be good, but to do so when he's finally showing some reliable passing? Uh-un.

I thought he could be traded if it was immediately or within a certain number of days of the first trade...

In Wallace's case, it's 45 days, which puts it past the trade deadline. I was pretty confused when this thread came out.

Reliable passing? Francis is an NBA starting point guard who has 1.62 assist-to-turnover ratio...that's horrible.....and its been like that ever since he came into the league...almost no improvement

Houston as a team is also dead last in the NBA in assist...that's not saying much...there is no initiation of offense....

Man, take the numbers out, change them back to words. We are not in a chatroom.

As for the trade, I think that this rumor is out of the question, but expect many more rumors to surface before the trade deadline.

You do that in a chat room, but people don't use numbers and abbreviations on JBB.
