Well jones won it, most of his dunks were just oops to himself, all he can really do being so short, somehow scored a 50 on first dunk(terrible judging) he did have the second best dunk in the comp though, IMO he didnt deserve to win, nor did anyone, if they were to give it to the best in the comp it should be richardson. Congratulations on robbing the dunk contest freddy.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting choppa22:</div><div class="quote_post">everybody has counted him out nobody thnks he has a chance I ve seen him dunk on the sixers and it was nasty!!!!!!he has a chance to win if he is creative</div> I told yall he had a chance of winning and sure enough he won I tihnk it would have been kool if he completed that dunk from that dude in the croud
j rich could have one if he saved thta bettwen the legs for last I gues he thought he could do the 360 between the legs
The thing with the guy in the crowd was cool. i wonder who it was, most likely one of his boys but i wonder if they practiced it.
I can't believe some of you guys didn't know about Fred Jones. How can you be an NBA fan and not know him? He was the 14th pick in 2001 by the Pacers. Didn't anyone watch the draft? Some of you guys said he lacked creativity or wouldn't be good in competitions, but he ripped up the NCAA and HS Slam Dunk competitions. You guys spoke way too soon on him. Since the start I knew it would come down to Fred Jones and Jason Richardson, because Fred's got an out of this world vertical leap while Richardson was the reigning champion. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Congratulations on robbing the dunk contest freddy.</div> Jason Richardson deserved it more? His own Michigan State pal, Magic Johnson, gave him a six for his last dunk. You can't do one good dunk and miss the rest. It just doesn't work that way. Fred Jones' only misses came on a dunk that he could have easily passed on, but wanted to get his friends some time on national television. If he would have just gone for a three-sixty dunk, he would have shut out Richardson. Ricky Davis was a bust, and Chris Anderson's level of difficulty wasn't close to Jones'. Jones had to jump about 10-15 more inches than Anderson. Stop "hatin'".
Just because a guy is short i dont think he should get special privelages, he shouldnt get treated differently becasue it was harder for him to complete a dunk due to his height. There should be no handicaps for any players, andersen didnt get one for being white lol. I honestly dont think jones deserved to be in the finals nor do many other people ive spoken too. But thats beside the point, jones was the only guy completing dunks, even if they werent as difficult as others, he was the 2nd most worthy of winning.

Did you ever watch the Spud Webb dunk contest? Being white doesn't hinder dunking ability; however, being short does. Also, Anderson's first dunk was spectacular and worth about a 46 or 47, but his second dunk was nothing that Earl Watson couldn't have done.
Lol, the second dunk Anderson did, sucked but the dunk contest wasnt the way i thought it would be. Anyway congrats to Fred Jones for winning the dunk contest. Also congrats to the Western conferece wining, too bad KG wasnt the player of the game.
