Wes, Rolo or Aldridge are not restricted free agents. But you're right about not giving a shit about Batum's salary. If we are winning, Allen will be fine paying to keep that winning team.

Everyone, excluding T.Rob, are bird players. We can go over cap to resign them

Hmmm, wow. However, regardless of whether they're RFA or UFA, keeping or trading Nic has ZERO bearing on whether we keep our free agents.

Yep! Like I've said before, if we are winning, Allen will pay.

Monroe sounds good now but what about after Lopez returns? Monroe goes to the bench? Does Monroe get more minutes than Kaman?

I don't have to be. We've already seen him pay before and he publicly said that will never happen again if his team isn't winning.

TRob is a Bird as well, but his cap hold while waiting to re-sign him is the 25% max.

I meant to rephrase that but got distracted at work. I think it was you that said we could only offer what his rookie scale is. Teams with cap space can offer more and we couldn't match right?

I get he's paid highly, and he isn't like a 18 PPG scorer so people are going to dump on him, but I don't think Nic's contributions to our team are as easily replaceable as many on here seem to feel. We have 3 players averaging over 16 PPG. We have 4 guys with USG rates in the 20s(matthews is 19.9, I'm rounding up, sue me). I'd like another scorer off the bench, be it shooter or attacker, but not at the expense of Nic. He allows Damian to play off the ball a bit, is solid in the PnR. I get frustrated at his telegraphed passes, but he's still a much better passer than probably anyone outside of Lillard and Blake on our team. Sure, we can start Crabbe and he'd be a passable defender and a better 3 point shooter, but he's a 3 and D sit in the corner-ish type on offense. That puts way mor pressure on Lillard to facilitate more of the offense.
I think swapping Batum for Green would be brutal for our team as a whole, personally.

Nic is a bit of a quandary for me. He appears so passive on the court, yet by the end of the game he's often filled many of the stat sheet lines and everything in-between. Yet sometimes he's passive and largely invisible. I think what I'd like to see out of him is some fire, something ruthless, something determined.... He just feels forgettable although, sometimes, the stats suggest otherwise.

Maybe its just a reserved personality or something?
