    Actually, yes.

EDIT: To expand on this, if ET were traded for Noah, we would likely release PapaG, having Noah/Leonard to back-up Nurk (such an expensive center troika!!), and this would open up some SG/SF minutes for our new acquisitions. Such a deal would actually make a ton of sense.

Apparently they are still $15M below the hard cap number. They can easily get Parker back in.... however the Kings or Bulls might throw a lot of money his way - which would screw the Bucks.

Why do you say that? Per Spotrac, their total cap allocations prior to the Lopez signing are 110.1M, so this takes them to 113.5. DD is another 2.4 (maybe 3.0?), so 116.5M. Apron is 129.7. Who's going to offer Jabari more than 13M?

In my opinion it's not about any other teams offering more than that, it's that Jabari is really full of himself and thinks he deserves a max. He's completely unaware how his injury history and this climate is self correcting itself towatds not giving players like him huge contracts. Therefore I think he'll end up taking the QO because he feels slighted and hope he doesn't get hurt again this year. Although I'm probably wrong and he'll sign for less than Meyers Leonard.

So then, it's not so much the Bucks moving on from him, so much as him likely moving on from them a year from now.

Basically but I think there is an element of gamesmanship going on with the Bucks though. They have a literal line in the sand drawn now that Parker can accept or play out a year and leave.

Although we could still help them get a lot more cap space if they give us something like Henson/Brogdon or Dellavedova/Maker for the TPE.

How much is DEN in the Luxury Tax now?

They have to be banging our door down asking us to take Plums back with our TPE.

I am on board. POR wouldn't do it though imo because MEM wouldn't provide a good pick to make it happen.

I'd do it if they included a 1st.

Well instead of a pick, it saves us over $4.3 million.

Me 2. Plums was great for us. But, I am getting nervous that no TPE is going to be used. I know you are the one that said it has to be happening at some point but I think you are even starting to sweat it.

I'm wondering if that would make Memphis consider a Parsons ($24.1M) for ET + Meyers ($28.3M) trade.
    Would we consider it?

Memphis pays and extra $4M to get two relatively healthy bodies who can play most games.
Portland saves a tad, but roll the dice on knee injury limiting Parsons to 20 games.

Yeah, my best guess is that there are a couple of guys that will be available right up until the last day but most of those guys are guards and that Olshey is holding out for a better deal before deciding if he wants one of those sure things. Adding a future 1st would be great for us because it either gives us an extra pick or more sweetener for trades.

Call me crazy but I think it would be POR that would need the convincing on this one. Makes a little sense from both teams perceptions though.

Well I sure hope you are right.

I would never trade a 1st to move Leonard or Turner but I think I could be convinced to move a 1st to get rid of them both at the same time. This would allow us to do that without losing our own 1st. Debatable though on if you would rather have DEN's 1st or your own.

Talking about two separate deals. But yes, agree with you on that.
