No, unless Michael Porter Jr is completely healthy and dominates which I don't think will happen.

How is that BS? That's smart. If Olshey did that, you'd be praising him.

Of course I'd love it if the Blazers did that. It doesn't change the fact that the contract was agreed to 11 days ago and they are waiting to circumvent the cap. My guess is that is way Joe Harris got $8 million a year because he was willing to wait.

I just don't see the problem with that. There's no way to protect against that.

I don’t get why people feel disappointed Olshey did not move for the Nuggets players and pick. We didn’t even have an offer that we could go through with here as Faried wouldn’t have fit within the TPE and they weren’t going to give away the first round pick for just taking on Arthur. Also, it’s a protected first round pick, those aren’t worth $40million which it would have cost us if we had used TPE to acquire a bad contract to get it.

Absolutely pointless for us to make any move here.

$20 mil a year for Parker? That's insane, especially since not very many teams had that kind of money to spend. He has only played in 183 of 328 possible games which is a little under 56%. With that kind of numbers that's closer to $40 mil a year.

Yeah but it's only a 2 year Contract (and the 2nd year is a Team Option)

So then they don't have bird rights which makes it even dumber if he produces. It's nice they left themself an out, but then they could lose him in 2 years.

Chicago was quietly doing fine and then they massively shit the bed throwing vanloads of money at two players who are probably net negatives. Still, fuck the Bulls forever, for this:

They have early bird rights, which allows you to offer 175% of previous salary. Not having rights on such a large contract is irrelevant.

    Learn the CBA, then post?

Free agent guard Shabazz Napier has agreed to a two-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets, league sources tell ESPN. Napier, 27, had his best pro season with the Blazers last year.
