The Eric Gordon meeting is supposed to be July 5th, but since Gordon has reached an agreement with the Suns on a max deal, is he still meeting with Olshey tomorrow?

Unfortunately once Gordon signed that offer sheet it killed any chance to meet with him.

well, technically he didn't SIGN anything yet, he just agreed in principle. No one can sign until 12:01am on the 11th. But yeah, he's already said he'll take PHX's offer.

It's a moot point anyway, as I fully expect the Hornets to match.

Agree, seems like a fair deal compared to some of the ones we have seen. The Rockets are a mystery to me, they Goran go and still have a PG in Lowry but offer Lin a large deal - WTF? They need some of MM's meds, they appear schizo to me

Sure seems like right about now there are a lot of teams in the western conference getting better. I'd like Portland to be one of those teams. Can anyone think of a team that has gotten worse? I can't off the top of my head

HUH? No man, they are and your drugs have worked so well they (Morey?) obviously could use them. Since you are right there you should help them out!

i am not really sure that Utah's trade with ATL helped them. Denver resigned Andre Miller, but might lose Birdman. Phoenix may just be trading Nash for Dragic if NO matches.

Well PHX also has Beasley now. Also if IND matches and we let Batum walk the Blazers are probably worse, but maybe addition by subtraction??

is Beasley a plus or minus?, that is a very valid question, they likely won't get Gordon and they will get Dragic - a big meh for me and with nash and Hill gone IMO I'd guess they could be a little worse

Dallas is obviously worse. Phoenix is losing Nash and Grant Hill I don’t expect them to be within a game of the playoffs. Rockets lose Dragic and Dalembert they’ll be worse; they overachieved with a deep team in a lockout season anyways. Spurs haven’t added anyone and will be a year older.

Phoenix replace Nash and Hill with Dragic and Beasley.

Rockets added three solid rookies, Asik and probably Jeremy Lin

Toney Douglas might be coming here in a sign and trade from the Knicks for Failton?

Yes, those teams will be worse.

Nash and Hill carried that team to the brink of making the playoffs. Yes the Suns need to cut ties and begin rebuilding but they will take a step back next season. Dragic is not a top 5 PG like Nash was last season. You could argue Nash was the best PG in the league last season.

I don’t think the Knicks let Lin walk but I’d rather have Dragic. The Rockets have a bunch of interesting roll players but I think Asik will get exposed if he has to start and play big minutes. I expect them to be worse as well next season.

Worse, maybe, but younger and more long term upside

    Nash 20.29 PER
    Dragic 18.03 PER

    Hill 12.34 PER
    Beasley 13.11 PER

I know PER isn't everything, but it's not really like they took a step back, and they got picks and freed up money
