No help there, unless Brand clears amnesty waivers and comes here for vet min. But that's not a big help really. Have Turner demand a trade to Portland quick.

The Dallas Mavericks have successfully claimed Elton Brand off amnesty waivers, a league source tells Y! Sports.

I dunno where to throw this, so here.

Looks like we're trying to avoid any short-term improvements which might keep us from being in the lottery for the next few years.

Keeping Hickson is an exercise in treading water. As a 10-15 MPG bench player he'll neither hurt nor help us.

He's going to be the saddest $58m player in the world. He got a lesson in RESTRICTED free-agency. Sound familiar?

That's one helluva glut of 4s. If Scola could play at the five it might be worth it ... but he can't.

I thought for some reason he played some center against Portland in the playoffs when Yao missed some games. He seemed to do pretty well. He is bigger than Kurt Thomas. Speaking of which what are our options with Kurt?

    Lin/Donatas

    I really like this duo.

Donatas is lucky to have McHale to develop him.

What Portland center would he have guarded? Joel? ... Joel uncovered by anybody is still pretty much guarded.
