Kris was the #5 rebounder in the league last year. Plus this contract is only 2 seasons w/o a trade kicker. Seems like a much more reasonable price to me than Batum.

It's amazing how quickly those teams were able to turn around their rosters...... but they'd be shit without Dirk or Kobe. I still think it's just a bandaid and neither team will compete for the championship next year. It's going to be Miami and OKC again at the top.

I really don't get the whole trade kicker issue. Batum is 23 and has pretty much improved his game in each season. Why would we trade him in the 4 years of his contract?

A better offer? Who knows, but things like trade kickers and toxic offers don't really phase Paul Allen much. Did Khan forget who he was dealing with?

I'm not sure Kahn didn't forget who he was dealing for during all this

I agree. If Batum is happy and playing well he will want to stay. If he is not happy and wants to go he will waive the trade kicker clause in order to leave.

The only scenario that would be a problem that I can see is him not playing well and the Blazers wanting to trade him and he doesn't want to leave. I can't see that happening.

Ugh. Jermaine O'Neal heading to the Lakers.

Another player I used to like that I now must hate.

And Grant Hill to the Clips. I like this for the Clips.

But I don't like the Clips, so now Hill is another player I must now hate.

He's done but didn't he build a huge house somewhere in Portland a few years back?

Shannon Brown, whom the Bucks have had interest in, is close to signing with another unknown team.

I would think us right away if we didn't already have 6 SG's on the roster

I was hoping we'd try for Brandon Rush

It's interesting.... we pretty much have 24 hours or so to make any sort of big move. After we match Batum, I don't expect any significant deals between now and the beginning of the season.

Ya I saw that. I was hoping for a S&T deal with GS, who says they will match.

I first read "arrested at the end of the day" :)

While I find Birdman interesting, he would be an odd "veteran presence"/role model for the youngins.

Ideally you want to keep predators away from youngins

Blatche might be worth taking a look at

He likes youngins, according to accusations...

One could say that he's a "bird of prey", no?

Maybe in the same way Two Girls One Cup is worth taking a look at.
