agree, chandler is the perfect fit for houston now. but looking at his recent stunning performances, i don't think bulls want to release him. Probably they will choose to release someone else... eddy curry? Will he be a perfect fit for us?
The Bulls are saying right now that they'll match any offers both Chandler and Curry gets, but I would doubt that they would actually do it. They have the upcoming extensions of Hinrich, Deng, Gordon, Duhon and Nocioni to deal with. I don't foresee Chicago letting any of them go as they are all integral parts of the team and are young. Besides, Curry could probably draw a $55-70 million deal.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Trip:</div><div class="quote_post"> Besides, Curry could probably draw a $55-70 million deal.</div> The only way that would happen would be if Stern starts allowing 10 year contracts . Nobody would pay Curry near 70 million--55 maybe. He's known for being laze, and that is the last thing that Van Gundy wants to put up with. However he is about as good a rebounder as Juwan (he should be much better). So assuming u lose Juwan Curry would be a good fit.
Good to see you back and posting. The reason I think Curry would get $55-70 mil is because he is a big man, and a very young one at that. He has the experience of a 4 year veteran, but is just 22 years old. I could see a lot of lottery-headed teams gamble on his potential and his present ability by offering him a big contract. If Eric Dampier, at age 30 and stats of 12/10, can get a $70 million contract, I would think that Eddy at age 22 and stats of 16/5 would get at least $55 million.
do you guys think that we have any chance to get Cat mobley back? I remember right after he got traded to the king he said he will consider coming back to the Rox after this season, do we have enough money for him. I think he will be good fit for the 2, cus DWesley is getting old, and Cat can D pretty well and shout the 3s too.
i heard that dan dickau is also gonna be a free agent in the end of this season, he may be a good addition for us considering his young age and his ability to shoot from 3 point line. He also can bring variety to our offense since he is good in running a fastbreak. bobby simmons also will be a free agent but i dont think he will fit in our system.
Dan Dikau would not be a great idea cause he is a crappy rebounder. Stromile swift looks like the best guy to me. If Juwan Howard is healthy looking in the offseason, i think we should just pursue a backup to him rather than a starter. I would also like mobley but will we have the money? And there are other things we have to worry about first. The team is fine right now.
I would say Mobley would be a better shooting guard option than Wesley, so I think he would help the team too. Wesley coming off the bench would give us defense and shooting, and signing Mobley could mean we could afford to not re-sign Jon Barry. However, we have bigger holes to fill right now. If we could get a good power forward in the draft and Spanoulis and Badiane prove to be ready to contribute, then signing Mobley would be a viable option.
Oh man, that would be insane to have the old Cat back. We get back our deep background. However, right now, I've got high hopes for us drafting a valuable powerforward in the draft so Dawson better not disappoint. This draft is flooded with a bunch of good powerforwards from college such as Simien or Turiaf. The answers are right there. As for the international guys- Spanoulis and Badiane, I think Spanoulis would probably be a backup shooting guard for us if he really contributes. The guy shoots insane cause I heard he has been hitting international threes like crazy over in greece. If Dawson can evaluate him correctly, we might not have to sign Barry long term. As for Badiane, he sounds like a Kelvin Cato to me, so its probably pretty valuable. If he puts on more muscle, he might even be a poor man's version of Danny Fortson so we definitely need that since our powerforward position is so disastrous.
