Good video. Koponen #8, Claver #10, Monia #12. The bearded Claver makes a great block, later shows a stance he didn't show here with legs wide apart to get leverage. Monia shows up later in the video. Koponen's there the whole video through. I like European and D-League games almost better than NBA. The plays are slow enough for me to analyze.
Claver gets a nice dunk here, but didn't even play in two games against his old Spanish team. Khimki Moscow is pretty loaded: Tyrese Rice was the Euroleague Final Four MVP last year and they signed him for more than Real Madrid was offering. Petteri, of course, is good, but they've also got Tyler Honeycutt and veteran American-in-Europe Paul Davis. Oh, and Sergey Monya, of course.
This is like Sergio. --------- Europe: young up-and-coming star NBA Year 1: exhuberant, talented. Years 2-3: humiliated, beaten down dog, unlearns talents to become a role player returns to Europe Year 1: thinks like a role player, defers to others, bow-wows when called Year 2: slowly unlearns NBA inhibitions Years after: returns to pre-NBA talent level, howls like a wolf
Victor's play is clearly the best, but they have to give Monia #1 because he's Russian, I guess: Now they're off to play Viktor with a K in the finals for the Russian League (VTB)
