I still think the team has the ability to turn it around. For whatever reason, they just aren't clicking. Dunno if it's coaching, chemistry, or something else, but I think they have the ability to turn it around. That being said, I don't know if there is enough time to effectively turn it around.
I need a rep! After all my birthday is his weekend! I'll be 51 and the Blazers won their championship only 35 years ago! Was that nice? Beat I can come up with.
I need some more rep, too! Seriously, I gave a dollar and a can of soup to a beggar standing along one of the freeway off-ramps today. I thought about going all BenDavis on him, but then had a moment of compassion.
Which is why my post just went right over your head.... I thought about using the corny green font, but thought it wasn't needed.
I knew it was sarcasm. Which is exactly what my post was (or tongue-in-cheek or whatever). As I mentioned earlier in the thread, the reps don't do much. You don't win any prizes. It doesn't keep you warm at night. I don't really see the point of it. Most of us know what to expect from other posters. We know mixum is a suicidal fan who is always on edge, we know Mags is super-excitable when it comes to the Blazers, we know HCP likes to think he's an insider (but we love him because he graciously shares his wife).... So I don't really understand the point of the system. I really didn't even know what the rep system was until recently, to be honest. So, through all this rambling (I'm just passing time at the office).... I sensed your sarcasm, and I raised it with an extra little flare of dryness.
i like frogs I mean, I like Batum also love me some LMA, Elliot, and even Wallace and Wes. Of course Przybilla and Camby. Fact is we just got screwed by injuries, some crappy picks, last year signings and an average coach. I still love my Blazers and will never give up hope.
And a shitty call. Funny how it seems like Portland was still doing some good things. Then that one game gets away, and they have been tripping on themselves ever since. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming that call for where they are now. But it could very well mean that the team has a very fragile psyche. I don't feel like the team has been that way for a few years, but it feels like they have one now.
Perhaps, but honestly I just don't think the Blazers are very good. There are some good pieces, but a crappy PG and bu PG, lack of strength inside. The two best players are Batum and LMA, but teams are best built around a top flight PG or C, neither one of which the Blazers have. In the past, having Roy gave the Blazers a De facto PG even if he mainly played SG. This team needs a big time shake up, but without getting rid of the few bright spots, there are really limited ways of improving. I think that the best chance of getting better over the next couple seasons is to have luck on our side. And that's just not a Blazer mantra.
