Well ladies and gentlemen that was probably your ball game right there. Could not hold a two run lead, and a two run deficit for this club is too hard to handle. Thanks Dellin

This team continues to let Ortiz kill them. Afraid to go inside on a guy who stands on top of the plate. They just hand him the inner half.

.304 48hrs 160RBIs in his career against the Yankees.

Yes indeed, and yet Shrek looks so vulnerable, when He's not given melon's to hit...or actually pitched too in the zones He can't hit strikes in...

...Tex, the consummate team player, trying to hit a 3 run HR...with nobody on base.

Just a ridiculous evening. Can't score runs and to make matters worse Betances gets beat on a hanging breaking ball to Ortiz. You throw 100MPH, are afraid like everyone else to pitch Ortiz inside and get beat on hanging garbage.

It's going to be a very long year with this bunch. Too much age coupled with complete incompetence in others areas.

I've been thinking about adding three more teams to root for.

The BlueJays will be my international team.

The Orioles will be my secondary A.L. team.....I also like Buck and Camden Yards is a great ballpark.

The Mets will serve two purposes- they'll be my obligatory N.L. team and fill in as my backup NY team.
When the Yanks stink, there's a fair chance some other NY team will be "good".

Another wonderful stat. This group is 37-44 in their last 81 games counting that wonderful playoff game against Houston. The dead offense looks like it has picked up right where it left off.

    Ironic.
One of the Yanks' two runs was the result of a 40 year old hitting a HR off a 23 year old.
The game winning two run HR came from another 40 year old hitting it against a 28 year old.

Yeah, lets fill the roster with all 40 year olds. The key to success in sports. You know what I don't know why the New York Giants drafted anyone tonight. They should just fill their team with guys at the end of their careers.

I was thinking of the days when those two played on bad Yankee
clubs. I was not clear in mentioning that fact. Yeah. I do agree
that Headley has "head" problems.....and just cannot have fun
    playing the game.

Yep. That's exactly what it looks like.
But I think if the team stays reasonably healthy, they'll eventually begin to score runs at a good pace.
Depending on how long this season opening dry spell lasts, they may not approach last year's team totals but I still believe they'll level off at being a pretty good run scoring team. imo

Easy Mess, I did mention the word "ironic" .....pertaining to tonight's game. And actually, they are putting six players out there with an average age of 30.
Obviously Arod and Beltran are a serious drag on the team's avg age.
