Gee... I can remember a thread where everyone talked about doubting their checks in Jan 2009 would go up... but they did.

 

I hate bosses who discuss politics or religion. Coworkers I don't mind, because there's a relative balance in power. You can disagree and although it might make things awkward for a while, generally neither person's career advancement may be in jeopardy.

With politics and religion, though, it's very easy for a superior to get in the habit of viewing an underling a "true believer" or a "heretic", and it can albeit completely unconsciously impact that underling in dramatic and subtle ways.

 

oooh i had the same thought, how glorious it would have been to not bail out business failures, and let them all go bankrupt.

i would have been fine with my bank of america debt being wiped out lol

 

You are forgetting to add in all those wonderful gift you get from clients. Technically that is reportable income.
