I get that @dviss1 is saying the rest of us are experiencing what has been the norm in Black communities. But there is a qualitative difference. The president is using full force of the United States military to occupy cities, not with pretext of "riot" or any emergency but simply to normalize troops marching through our streets. As punishment to cities that voted for Democrats. To establish Trump having right to use army against anyone he wants. To prepare for next election when they will be used to intimidate wrong people from voting.
I disagree that there are more racists than there are liberals. I honestly believe Obama would have absolutely destroyed Trump in any election. The left has to give people something to vote FOR. They can't count on the right being so bad that people will simply vote against them.
I agree but they might be able to win the midterms with the way things are by putting anyone out there. They need to focus on the basics. Grocery prices, rising housing costs, health insurance, rising utility costs, gas prices, raising wages etc. Thats what the majority of people care about and can get people out to vote. Ultimately, they must be a good speaker too.
I don't follow country music. I never heard of Zach Bryan. He is apparently huge star in country music. He has a new song with anti ICE lyrics. Department of Homeland Security trolled him with a video, mind you on an official US government web site. Video shows images of people being rounded up and put in chains. Playing over it is a Bryan song he uses to close every set, a song about a person who knew hard times, prison, but achieved redemption through faith. Because using a song about redemption while gloating over innocent people being put in chains is just so funny, right?
Agreed. Just can't count on Trump being bad enough to beat your Republican opponent. That's not enough.
ICE in Chicago arrested 53 year old woman who has lived here 30 years wen she went out to get groceries for her family dinner. Worst of the worst.
