Here are some future stadiums I find quite interesting. All of these projects have either broken ground or are about to this year and are confirmed to be built. First up is Baltic Arena of Poland. The beautiful city of Gdańsk doesn't have a major football club, but the city's stunning looks were enough to gain support in their efforts to host matches for EURO 2012. This will be my favorite venue, no doubt. CSKA Moscow's new stadium has yet to be named, but signs turn to Roman Abramovich's oil company Sibneft. The stadium boasts a nice looking tower modeled after the UEFA Cup in honor of their victory only a few years ago. The Beira Rio looks fantastic with both a modern and classic South American feel to it. No doubt it will be used for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. I chose to show you all Fornebu Arena in Oslo because although it doesn't have a large capacity, it is a stunning looking arena. Only a few professional clubs in the World use indoor pitches and the only other one that has impressed me so far is the Sapporo Dome. Olympic Stadium in Baghdad has been delayed, but will continue being built as the year progresses. This is a huge step towards rebuilding the country IMO. Shakhtar Donetsk's Stadion Shakhtar looks great, as does Spartak Moscow's new stadium. Romania will finally have a large and modern stadium to host their national football team, Stadionul Lia Manoliu. Zenit Saint Petersburg and Liverpool will have brand new amazing looking stadiums by 2009. Both of which are huge and both clubs well-deserving of such venues. There are some other stadiums I have not written about, but you can see photos and brief information below. One stadium I have not included any photos or information on is Stade de Tanger of Morocco. This stadium looks fantastic, but there no inside view artistic photos available. Hopefully I can find some in the future and post them here, but from the looks of things, Morocco will host a World Cup in due time. The country has so many state-of-the-art stadiums being built or planned over the next decade and I'm very excited. They all look awesome, lol. As the Liverpool owners have hit a snag in building costs, they are revisiting plans to make it more like 70,000 capacity. Also, you missed one: Kirkby Location: Liverpool, England Capacity: 50,000 (all-seater) Tenant/Use: Everton FC
I only posted stadiums that have artistic pictures of the outside and inside of the proposed stadium. Otherwise I would have posted dozens of others such as Stade de Tanger, Nou Mestalla and Stade Borne de l'Espoir among others. In any case, the Kirkby is very nice.
