So, whats your point? That Stephenson might be better by a kunt hair?

No, your point is to try and diminish Batum as a player and prop up Stephenson as some great.

The differences are pretty clear to me.

You called them identical players. I provided statistical evidence that shows they're not identical players and all, with Lance Stephenson being much better at creating his own offense and scoring in the paint.

You obviously haven't read the whole thread if that is what you think, so it looks like you can blame yourself for your confusion.

The thread needs to be renamed: Stephenson vs. Batum.

Perhaps create a celebrity death match and see which one wins!

Batum is a better facilitator and a more versatile defender and isn't a headcase.

LOL because I said they're completely 100% identical players? No. I said they play almost identically, meaning not completely identical but very close. If you're literally talking about them being carbon copies, then no, they're not 100% identical. You listed jumpers versus layups, great, how about them having very similar assist percentages, very similar rebound percentages, very similar steal percentages, their rebounding averages are very close, their assist averages are very close, and Stephenson is averaging only 2 PPG more on nearly 3 shots more per game. You're right though, they're not identical twins.

    Silly retort.

From an outsiders perspective, from someone who doesn't have an agenda towards Batum you could look at their stats and its a wash. That's considering one guy plays in conference A, the other plays in the B league.

Que up the well I actually watch the games and don't look up stats argument that you like to use.

You're right, the discussion started with you talking about how Stephenson is "clearly" and "much" better than Batum on offense.

But they don't play "almost identically". That's my point.

There are clear differences in their strengths and weaknesses.

    Really?

You also never actually defined how he was certainly much more naturally talented on all of every thing that is offense.

Batum is our best playmaker, leads our team in assists, guards anyone on the floor and doesn't push his girlfriend down flights of stairs.

So one shoots more jumpers and one drives more.... you realize that our offense is built around shooting jumpers? How much of those numbers you linked have to do with the offense we run? LA is also shooting more jumpers in Stotts' offense.

I just find it funny that they have very similar numbers in points, assists, rebounds, and steals, but they're clearly different players because one shoots more jumpers and the other gets to the rim.

How many times did I use the word talent in there?

Seriously. I don't see how those quotes prove anything.

What do you think talent means when it comes to evaluating players?

I'm also not the one arguing that Stephenson is some significant upgrade to Batum.

Batum's stats would look a lot nicer if he played in the B league. I haven't seen you refute that. Its a valid argument. Don't push it along the wayside.
