It's solid advice in general. If you get the ball at half court, launch it immediately!

In what regard? Scoring? So that extra couple PPG makes him "much more talented?"

Nic has a higher TS% and a higher ORTG. Their PER is identical.

On a higher USG% to boot.

I agree. It was said in jest towards Kobe.

So who do they pick to replace Kobe? I'm kinda hoping for Davis.

So many guards. I think that says a lot about how many great guards are in the west right now.

Lillard just in a commercial where Aldridge talks to him about "now that we're All Stars.". Guess it was a lock all along.

Stephenson can create his own shots and can get to the rim.

Batum, despite this being his like 6th year in the league, still has to rely mostly on his jumper for his offense. That's just a fact.

I'll stand by Stephenson being more talented 10 times out of 10.

    Huh?

The only difference is that Stephenson takes more shots, and his 2pt percentage is a bit better. His FTs are pretty bad, though, and assists are a wash.

It should be Davis. Davis should've made it over Dirk.

Lower you mean. Yeah, PapaG's favorite ratio (PER vs USG) really comes into play. a 16 PER/16 USG guy is more balanced in the offense than a 16 PER / 19 USG guy... you should be getting more out of your high usage players than that.

What did you think of that McLoughlin Car dealer commercial with Aldridge and Lopez?

Maybe Stephenson is more talented. It's your opinion. What I found silly is them spending 5 minutes talking about Lance Stephenson, as if it's some big outrage that he missed the team.

But! In the East, a 16 PER guy is like 8th best in the conference!

I really do like that ratio, and think it should be used more often. Stephenson's is very good as well. 16/19 is solid for an off-the-ball player. Batum's 1:1 is what you need out of secondary scorers on elite teams, though.

You said much better offensively, and clearly better offensively, which is different than just "better."

Nic isn't a scorer. It's not that he can't score, it's that he would rather do other things. He doesn't have a scorers mentality. That doesn't mean that he isn't as talented as Stephenson. Regardless, my original point is that you can't talk about one and not the others. They all have very similar numbers and they all play for one of the top three or four teams in the league, so "winning" isn't an excuse.

There's no denying Lance has more ability than Batum on the offensive side of the floor. Idk how this is even an argument.

It's because East is weak. Did Joe really deserve it over Lance. It was close. No room for Nic in West this season. Matthews is just as deserving as Nic so it's still a hard call.

Yeah, sorry, I meant that Stephenson was on a higher USG%. Not Batum.
