Never said it didn't (except for the finish of the regular season which it didn't), but injuries happen. That was the point Step. No crying that Kreider was out. How hockey goes. Deal with it.

The point wasn't who cares if Kreider plays or is out...doesn't matter. That was not the point bro.

I chuckled when Nash scored. That shot was pretty terrible

Pretty weak, but that's what you get when he has no confidence. Maybe that goal will give him confidence so he can actually start to rip the shots again.

And BTW...Price is weak blocker side, always has been. That was the guy who played early against TB. Got no help, and didn't let up bad goals, but no real big saves either. He is good, but I still don't think he is Hank, Quick, or Rask.

You were saying that he is not a huge difference maker. That he is not all that.

What I said was he is a good solid player. He was a loss, but we cannot make excuses. A lot of teams miss players. You think the Pens missed Orpik? The Flyers missed their starting goalie?

Now I will say this. Kreider is huge in the playoffs. I think I did undervalue that some. He is a huge weapon in the playoffs. Speaks really well to his ability and makeup that he steps up so big in the playoffs. Great stuff.

Agree chuck, ECF and no post game is a disgrace which is why hockey is so low amongst the major sports. Should have played it at night if didn't want to interfere with Mr.Ed running around the racetrack. Total bullshit. Find another channel to put your sport on GARY DICKMAN.

Here's the thing mel, if this game ended at 4:30 or after 4:30...I get it no postgame, and I wouldn't say a word because that was the deal today. BUT for the game to end at 3:45 or so, and STILL no postgame is a HUGE F you to the NHL. The only pass I would give is if the NHL thought no postgame and then closed the set down so they couldn't do a postgame, but that seems like a real stretch.

That is a big FU to the NHL by NBC IMO.

do you guys even watch the post game on NBC? I turn to MSG right after the final whistle. When the rangers win, Doc sounds like his dog died or something. It is like a funeral on NBC when the rangers win.

It will be interesting to hear if price was out the third due to injury or because of score although 4-1 down you would think is not insurmountable. He took somefriggin shot from kreider on that knee.

Subban is a HUGE weapon with that speed, size and shot, but he always can be very questionable on D and make some low % decisions. He has always had that issue really. Why he was benched at times. Why he didn't really play for Canada.

We'll see how he bounces back game 2.

When we win I usually like to get some quick thoughts from NBC because of what you said Step. They are so down that I like to hear them eat some crow. Wanted to hear that today.

This was a huge, huge first game. Not just the fact that we took game 1 on their ice, but the way this game went shows we can play real good hockey in this building, and that Price isn't some superhuman goalie.

Their record and play in MTL was all the media was asking them about. To put up a great performance like this will be huge for their mindset going forward. Great win.

I think Subban is grossly overrated. He has a good shot and seems to make good plays on PP but he is questionable defensively. I would take Mcd over him any day.

Agree Prod. This was a big win since we got it done in that building up there, and that was by far the biggest question mark for us into this series. Took the biggest ? for us off the table. That was huge.

And again, like I said yesterday, Price is NOT Hank.

I hope I'm wrong but Im worried Brass is concussed. Don't have to hit your head directly to get one. That vicious change of direction on a hit can sometimes do it too. He stayed on the ice a long time after the hit, looked real dazed and wasn't favoring anything when he skated off. I know they were rubbing his back but that could be a secondary injury.

Pure speculation on my part, hope I'm wrong.
