Great start to season. Laf played really well, Miller did as well, whole team really. I think they blocked more shots in this game then all of last season. They shot the puck, and I like the line combos. Good to see the effort, and the D structure, and kids playing well. Let's see if they can continue it game after game.
Nice win...the middle portion of the third the Rangers were selling out hard to block shots. If they keep that up that will be helpful but will also likely come at the expense of guys getting hurt (looking at you, Lindgren).
Bring up Othmann in December or January and throw him on the third line and drop wheeler. I don't know if I can watch a full season of wheeler logging around the ice.
Yep agree. Blocked more shots in that game than they probably did for 20 game stretches last season. They actually shot the puck. Especially dipshit Panarin.
Love the urgency clearing their zone, no more farting around kicking the puck up the boards, great start to the season. Took the Buffalo crowd out of the game early and kept them out. Props to Laf playing one of the best games of his career, there's nowhere to go but up.
Liked what I saw from the beginning when they announced the healthy scratch of fecey… good kid but he ehhhh how bout chubby boy gettin the 1st? Who would have thought panarin great passes and looks like he means business this year kreids, great job gettin him puck in front for the deflection shesterkin very sharp Only thing I saw the concerned me a bit was gustffasin on D. overall great game from start to finish
Boomer has been dumb as dog shit on a lot of things lately but he was right when he said looked like Torts behind the bench. Teams like the Devils will be very ineffective against a style like this.
When it comes to commitment to D, structure, effort, and sacrifice I agree it was like a Torts team. If the kids play like that, they shoot the puck, and the team stays focused and dedicated, this team can be a top-level team. Man for man they have the talent, depth, and goaltending for sure. The question is will they continue to play with that level of effort and attention to detail. One game will not tell that story, but it was a promising start.
