I said it yesterday, if we ever win game 1 off short rest and an emotional game 7 win I think we win the series. Now we only need to split games 1 & 2 to have a good shot to win the series, and quite frankly I don't think we will win tonight (I can see us being flat after a huge win in game 7), but if we do I think we win the series.

My thinking is we lose game 1, Pitt may even roll us if they come out on fire. We rebound and win game 2. Then let the chips fall where they may after that.

We'll see how it goes. But worst case get back here 1-1 and we have a solid shot to win the series.

no excuse for being flat, this is the fucking playoffs every guy knows in the room all it takes is 4 losses and you are out. They had 24 hours to let the Flyer series pass and get into the swing against the Pens. They need to look in the mirror at themselves and find it somewhere deep down to come out and play 110% tonight and steal game 1.

Al you are 100% correct. But this is a Ranger team that does not seem to get motivated until they get embarrassed. Hope I'm wrong. Lets change the usual. Go Ranger's

If I am a Rangers forward right now, before game 1, I have to be salivating for the puck drop knowing MAF is in goal for them.

He can be very good also, so I wouldn't take it for granted he's just going to be flat awful. Lundqvist has to be at the very top of his game too. The Ranger PP has to work for them in this series.

If only the Ranger players can put them off their guard and play 110%,
Pens will be put off. I just get the feeling the Pens are ecstatic they
are not playing the Flyers. For them, Rangers are easier for them to
advance. For this alone the Rangers should give them their very best.
    GO RANGERS.

71, I don't know what you have watched since 2010, but MAF has been a total embarrassment in the playoffs since then. This is the best chance Nash will ever have to earn his paycheck as a Ranger.

Of course there is no excuse for being flat, but if you haven't noticed we do that in the playoffs from time to time. See games 2, 4, and 6 against Philly.

We'll see how we play tonight. I am hopeful we play a strong game. We need Hank to be very good. The PP to score some goals. And stay out of the box.

Curious to see if Sutter and Orpik play as well.

I'm not saying he's been great in recent years, but he has beaten them in the playoffs and also won a SC, so they can't assume he's going to be shaky, they need to treat it like they're facing Patrick Roy or Grant Fuhr. Lundqvist definately is a better goalie but even he's prone to bad games and decisions.

Being flat is unacceptable. That mindset belongs to other Ranger teams.
AV will change it. That's why Sather made him the head coach.
We won't tolerate such nonsense. This is the Stanley Cup playoffs.
    Al is 110% correct.

No Orpik. That is a big plus for us. Let's hope we take advantage of that tonight. I think he is their only physical presence on D.

If that is the case we lose. Their PP is great. I think we simply need to limit their PP chances AND score a handful of PP goals ourselves. Just be solid on the PP and that is a big plus for us.

Don't like that we lose MSG, but at least we have Kenny Albert and not Doc. Albert and Pierre is okay to me. I bet we get Doc at some point since Pierre is here tonight not in Chicago. I bet game 3.

Nash will score in game 1 and/or 2. That is my prediction right now. Make it happen big fella.
