I could see a crossroads coming with Ant and CJ similar to what the Warriors had with Steph and Monta Ellis. At some point, you're going to have to pick one.

a more athletic Jeff Hornacek would be better but that's a real high ceiling

    Byron Scott?

Ant is a legit 6’4 with a 6’9 wingspan. That compares really well with Zach LaVine, Bradley Beal, among others. He needs more muscle on that frame though.

He's already a lot stronger than last year. He'll only get stronger. As long as he maintains his ungodly bounce.

More Klay instead of Monta, but ya, same premise.

CJ actually looked a lot better at handling the trap than Dame tonight.

Me either. CJ would be a better scorer off the bench.

Dame is literally having a 50/40/90 season, well he’s at 49/39/91, which on his usage rate is insane. He’s prime steph right now.

Oddly I thought CJ played pretty well tonight - just couldn't get the deep ball to go in until the last one in OT. He was active, had some tough drives, etc. Hopefully seeing those last two shots go in late will help break him out of that slump.

some of the things that were happening to him were just comical. Like a perfect storm. Even the play where it saves it directly into a Huerter 3....

it’s like the basketball gods were doing everything in their power to push him lower.

basketball gods are cruel some times. I have absolutely no worries about his ability to get it back.

What concerns me more is getting Ant 30 mpg. He's way better than even I was anticipating to start the year. Dude is ready to break out.

The 5 minute over time quarter might been the best basketball they play all season.

I think actually Simons is better than CJ today, but CJ will play better in the future.
Simons so far this season is shooting 56.6 effective field goal percentage , while CJ is shooting a miserable 42 % effective field goal percentage.

I have as much confidence that Simons will hit an open 3 compared to CJ, and more confidence that Simons will do the right thing in choosing 2-point shots compared to CJ, which is supposed to be CJs strong point.

CJ is shooting 40 percent on 2 point shots, while Simons is shooting 56 percent on 2 point shots.

It's a long season so things will change, but right now today I think Simons is better.

Simons has quietly also improved defensively, seemingly by the game. I like him guarding point guards, his length and athleticism seems to give them problems. Last two games he’s had to guard two of the shiftiest point guards in the league and held his own. That’s encouraging. I expect to see him draw Fox a lot on Tuesday.
