Shit maybe we should just get rid of the game thread and only post takes after the game so nobody can go back later and put them on blast!

Man how the hell did Sac land Mark Jones from ESPN as their play by play guy? He’s fantastic.

 

Ya that's a weird connection. He's from Canada, so it's not like he grew up there like Snapper did for us in Portland. He is getting PAID!

 

Maybe occasionally? It just seems strange. I assumed you’d have access to the official score table/monitor feed and someone would just click a name. If not, yeah, labor intensive I guess. I find myself always thinking about it when a guy scores like “nice Nurk, how many is that now..” so I go look it up

Since it's too high-tech for you, why not steampunk a voiceover. We'd hear, "That's 6 rebounds for Sweet Melon, D.O.L.L.A.'s 4th 3, and a second towel-wave from Z-Bo, FAMS!" With makeup, you could even replace Brooke Olzendam if she gets pregnant.

 

I think he is the only consistent poster on the forum that exclusively works during the games. Maybe don't be so offended by his hindsight. I'm sure @THE HCP would admit that he is posting from a different viewpoint than the rest of us.

I mean the guy is putting together the video packages that we are commenting on in real time. Is it not OK for him to ever post his takes on the game or what people said during the game?

Another? I'm not sure you wrote what you think that means? Dame breaks the trap every game multiple times by passing to the big? But i agree you have to trap consistent and you have to trap as hard as possible.

 

It would appear that maybe the Kings don't play very good defense and they don't guard the three very well?
Most certainly cannot be that the Blazers have some pretty good shooters that can get hot?

 

He has done this the past 4 games. I think he would have done it more if Nurk didn't pick up a couple of penalties?

 

I think we are seeing a noticeable improvement in Nurks overall fitness. He seems to have played his way into better shape and now you are seeing a better player in the 4th quarter.

I also noticed another tidbit!
CJ talked to him at least three times during that game about not complaining to the refs. On fouls and out of bounds plays that Nurk wanted to start jawing to refs about, CJ would walk over and tap him and tell him to let it go and get into position.
That is all part of what teams are supposed to do. Keep each other accountable and communicate both during play and during breaks.
