I do remember that he struggled, but I also remember being able to clearly see he had the ability, but just needed to find his stride so to speak. Once he was able to play more minutes and not be injured, he took off.

You're already complaining about him in regards to 2-minute garbage time stints.

CJ could play well with scrubs because he's a ball dominant scorer, and could display his talent no matter what the situation.

Collins isn't someone you throw the ball into yet. When he plays in garbage time, that's what happens. He is someone that would play better off of the starting lineup. He and CJ are talented on different ways.

Collins is also 19, CJ was 22 his rookie year.

Collins isn't "MILES away from cracking the rotation". He's already a good defender, and all he needs is more strength to be a rotation player. Combine that with improvements in other areas and you have a good all-around player.

Swanigan was a spark in the front line. Noah off the bench was nice. TONIGHT.

If they can be somewhat interchangeable, we'll be okay.

Dame and Nurkic in the 3rd quarter completely dominated.

We need to reduce the turnovers, obviously. If we can do that and still rebound then Stotts doesn't get fired. Turnovers are what kill me, to be completely honest.

It's not just turnovers, it's the unforced turnovers. It's like we can't get out of our own way.

I'm not against the Dame/CJ guard combo, but is that a result of that type of offense?

Definitely. He tried to do the leg kick trick with his arm to draw the foul, and it backfired.

Some of your arguments are somewhat ridiculous. CJ could play well because he was and is a good player. Doesn't matter who he plays with or against. And he started really showing out when he got into the starting lineup, so that whole argument just seems silly. He had the skills before he stepped foot in this league.

Collins on the other hand doesn't play well because he's simply not ready for this league in multiple ways. Put him with scrubs and he can't dominate because they push him around and he's weak and awkward with the ball. I know he's 19. That's my issue. He should have stayed in school. You think he'd do better in the starting lineup? LOL. If you put Collins in the starting lineup right now teams will feast on him worse than they do Meyers Leonard. His post defense is terrible and he's not a threat on offense unless you just leave him wide open. However I will say that unlike Meyers he does seem to have a feel for the game, so there's at least some hope for him. The question is how long are we willing to wait in the event that he ever puts it all together? I just hope it's not 5-6 years.

Millsap looked like a different guy than I remember from his Atlanta days. He looked....old.

I've honestly never been that impressed by him. I mean, it's impressive he came from a small school and carved a place for himself in the league as a starting player, but I was never that in awe of him as a player.

Millsap had apparently been playing well of late. We had a very solid defensive effort tonight. That effort would have beaten Memphis and Brooklyn.

I remember him single handily beating us like a year or two ago. I don’t think he was ever a franchise player despite some all star appearances but he still looked better than he does now.
