I didn't get that either. Nurk should have been in. Nurk needs to play 30 + minutes per night period! Stotts was off too tonight.

We are half a game from being 6th... 2 games from being 9th... you act like it means something. The way they are playing is more important at this point in he season... they have old habits they can’t seem to break... just good enough to give false hope

This is the first time all season we've lost consecutive games.

In these last 2 games, did the team look motivated to you?
Were the players paying attention to Stotts?
Did Stotts have a positive impact on the game?

If your answer is "no", either that trend needs to end immediately, or Stott's tenure as coach needs to end.

    Well that sucked.
You take away the two threes Trent made and they shot 6-27 from 3 point. 22% and that is because Meyers made a couple. The rest of the team was 16%. Doesn't get much colder than that.
Lillard 5-18 and 1-7 from three looked like he had no lift in his shot and maybe has no business on the court. No reason for him to try this "IronMan" streak thing that he seems to hold some reverence for.
That was just a pathetic showing on the offensive end taking care of the ball. The box has them officially with 18 turnovers but it seems they quit counting after the first half was over? There is absolutely no way they only had 18 turnovers. More like 25.

To bad this team let the Lebrons beat them twice. They better get their head straight pretty quick or this road trip could turn out dismal.

No I wouldn't. Its going to be this way out West with a bunch of teams beating up each other. And at this point even GS & Houston have their struggles.
I would expect the trade market to pick up some though.

Wasn't able to watch the game tonight. From the game flow, it looks like we got our butts handed to us right from the get go. The next three games are winnable, hopefully we pull it together.

Leonard's best game was 21 minutes in the blowout against minnie, and his second best was tonight against minnie.

Both were excellent lines for the minutes played.

Difference was he only played 13 minutes tonight, so had less of an overall impact, and we lost.

Maybe next time we play minnie he should get more PT? :dunno:

Winning on the road is always in the question. Even lower level teams can have good games at home. The next three are winnable yes but they got to make some shots and open things up a bit.

I thought he was playing well. He was making an impact and but they weren't closing the gap. Then Stotts went back to Nurk who was also having a good game but the rest continued to struggle.
When Stotts tried going small the wheels fell off. But i can't blame him for trying. He was looking for anything to bring a spark and ignite a run.

Dame and CJ are getting hard resistance on everyhing the last two games. The cuts to the basket aren't even gimmes any more. It's like the playoffs, pressure the two featured shooters because Portland won't adapt. I don't know if we have to feature Nurkic more or kick out to wings like Trent or Layman. But I doubt it happens, Stotts is more interested with keeping Dame and CJ happy.

In the broad sense, Stotts seems to understand sound offense. When it comes to mid-game adjustments under pressure....he is not that good.

Looks to me like Dame is playing hobbled. No spring and a step slow. His shot is hitting front rim and he is pushing passes that aren't quite there.

Wouldn't surprise me if Dame is playing hurt. The guy has absolutely no back down in him. Now that he's the most visable Blazer representative on and off the court.... sitting isn't an option.
