    Lakers didn't play tonite, so...

We got shooters. And on the beginig of this season half of this forum were dreaming about finals. After some games air went out, bc we can see that it's all same old game. We got so many shooters. Moving the ball around would kill every opponent, but we prefer to play ISO.

Point is, we all know were is that going.
Point is, with synergy and effort we could be much better, even w/o CJ and Nurk.
Point is, Dame will not get rings in Portland in this case.
We only win games in playoffs if one of our shooters goes ballistic.

Just move the f ball and this team will be fun to watch and hard to stop. ISO is opposite.

This take is not accurate. Though, of course, most teams have a player or two play very well when they win. Here are some non-ballastic examples from just one playoff year:

And yet he keeps getting jobs around the league and he's constantly coaching team USA. Because he produces results and almost always improves his teams.

In order to find an open shooter, a player needs to draw an extra defender. This is done by ISO-ing the best player. This is how you win title. Throw ball to Duncan. Draw double. Pass pass pass pass etc. In our case, get the ball to Dame, CJ, or Nurk, draw a defender and then pass. It starts with an iso though. Why the word "iso" is such a bad thing, I don't know.

They were collectively averaging around 55 ppg before CJ went down. That's like the best backcourt synergy ever.

I certainly HOPE we go to the WCF (like we did in 2019) over and over and over! We'll probably win one! If regular season wins don't mean anything, does that mean regular season losses don't mean anything? Sounds like you only focus on negative. If we beat the Knicks, it means nothing. If we "blow a 25 point lead" in the regular season, that's something to be concerned about. Tonight was a fantastic win against the best defense in the NBA. I think this team is on its way to something special. The core of the 2019 WCF has been reunited with some upgrades and an improved CJ. We've won a Game 7 on the road together. That is really hard to do. There have been 133 Game 7s all time. Only TWENTY EIGHT have been won by the road team. We've got one of those together. That's the kind of experience you need to go the distance. Stop worrying about how we play in the regular season while also telling me how the regular season doesn't matter. Make up your mind. Enjoy the games. We're 4th in the West and trending upward. We were never going 82-0. We will lose to bad teams, beat bad teams, beat good team, lose to good teams, lose close games, win close games, blow out teams and get blown out. But in the end, we will have a seed that gives a chance at a title. Enjoy the ride. Worst Blazers team ever? Geesh.

You're basing strength of schedule off of team's early records (all of which are against a different set of teams). The Raptors are a GREAT team. They will be Top 4 team in East. We beat them. Knicks have best defense in the NBA. We scored above our average and beat them. We beat Golden State. They are also better than their record. We beat Houston when A++ Harden was showing off for Sean Marks and Wood was playing an A+ game in their opener. Pay no attention to SOS. If we lost to Lakers, our SOS would be stronger. If we lost to any of the 8 different teams we've beaten, our SOS would be stronger. Understand how that works? Beating teams makes your SOS worse. But it must be noted, beating the bad teams is how you know you're not one of them. The Spurs, in their heyday, would have a bad record vs playoff teams but they would beat every single bad team and build a nice record that way. Look it's an 82 game schedule. You're going to lose at least 20 games. You'll lose to good teams (we can't beat good teams!!!) and you'll lose to bad teams (how can a team that lost to the Pistons win a title??). That is the way this works. And you know this and you've covered it.

And you're not apathetic. You spend a lot of time posting about these guys.

You guys...It was only one game. Stop being happy. We'll be back to suckitude soon.

Sheesh, unstable Blazer fans. Read other message boards, and you'll see that every team's fans like their coach sometimes; that's no reason to go crazy.

Even more so. Absolutely EVERY team in the NBA does this. It's almost like some of these guys have not watched another team play a game.

The next one people hate on is the "weave". Every Team does this.

How about giving up an open look from three? Every team gives up open looks from three. The entire NBA is designed to get open looks from three. The Knicks gave up 37% from three point last night on 46 attempts. Believe me it could have been much worse if any Blazer not named Lillard or Simons was hitting three's in the second half. The Knicks (Best three point defenders in the league) were giving up wide open looks from three.

Some of the blame goes to our guards when you see it then you don't dribble into it especially when your 6'3. The only way to beat the trap by passing the ball before the trap and keep in the middle of the floor. Plus you stay away from side lines and right over the half court where the players can use the boundaries has extra man.

You "know"? Really? I'm impressed with how a new coach came in and changed their defensive identity overnight. Other than that, they are trash. But I do enjoy the perpetual 'mind reading'.

Roco is second in steals at the 4 - everyone wanted a defensive wing, his shot will improve but thats not his strong point.
Hell, the Greek Freak shoots 30% from 3 and he's MVP
