We all hope so but you don’t like that he went out for a shift and then was taken out of the game. Not a good sign.

That’s what happened the last time and then he was out basically the whole year.

It was just a matter of time with Chytil. If a hit like that is going to put him out with a concussion, sadly, the guy needs to retire. That type of hit happens all the time, if he cannot take it, he cannot play in the NHL anymore.

I love the line from someone in here writing maybe the mix has run its course, and they need changes...you think...lol. OMG that was a funny comment.

Winning ugly still gets 2 points, Chytil news is not good but the bright side is we'll get more of Lav's favorite AHL old timer Jonny B.

94 adds absolutely nothing to this board. Starting to remind me of that douchebag Cup. The mix got us to the conference finals last year. Problem is Laviolette doesn’t hold anybody accountable and he refuses to put Lafreniere on the first power-play unit.

You are spot on. It was Gallant's fault, it is Lav's fault, it was the fault of all the coaches before them. That is the absolute right take.

Gallant also got the Rangers to the ECF. Making the ECF has not been the issue, they have done that many times the past 10-12 seasons, it's making the SCF (once) and actually winning the Cup (zero) that tells the story.

The team/players are not good enough, it is not on Gallant/Lav, while again acknowledging neither coach made every right decision, and no coach in any sport does. We can nitpick every coach, in every sport, every minute of every game. That doesn't mean the easy and lazy kneejerk answer of oh it's the coach AGAIN is the right answer, it isn't in this case.

You cannot knock the team for how they played against the Devs/reacted after the Devs series, and then say it's the coach AGAIN. You cannot knock the players last season, they stink 5 on 5, their in-zone coverage is lacking, they're too small, they don't have playoff type players, and then say it's the coach AGAIN.

No one is saying the Rangers are a disaster, or have been for years, they have had a good amount of long ECF playoff runs the past 10-12 seasons and I would say they have been a top 6-8 organization over that timeframe (they absolutely could be much worse), but if the goal is to WIN THE CUP, the players on the team and makeup of the team is simply not good enough, and that is on the man who doubled down again this season, Chris Drury (not the multiple coaches).
