mostly. They are 28th in opponent 3ptFG%. Last season, with a historically bad defense, they ranked 20th in opponent 3ptFG%. Their rotations to 3 point shooters has been really bad. I think a significant part of that is length. I think length closes gaps faster that speed and Portland has very little length on the perimeter. Besides that while they are small, they aren't really that fast

This is what I've been saying for a few years. There is no scheme that can make up for below average point of attack defenders on the outside.

To be fair, he was really trying to sell us the Billups was going to bring that "it" factor that Stotts didnt' have. I think he did/does really want things with Billups to be successful and Quick was saying last year he thought this was a top 4 roster in the West.

I don't think we are as good as our home record shows. Last night first game that CJ and Dame had good shooting night hopefully it's continues. But last night the bench had a good game that got us back in the game in the first half. Starters have to be energized at the start but lately they haven't been.

Quick also thought Meyers Leonard had all-star potential

As did Dwight Jaynes and Olshey... It's like Olshey is/was feeding Jaynes and Quick info.

Quick once wrote a huge story about Telfair being the player that was going to change the culture for the Blazers. Even proclaimed he would be the face of the franchise for many years.
    Jason Quick is rarely correct.

He's been a decent writer at the Athletic, but his player evaluations suck

Quick is a puppet for Olshey. I remember this off-season Quick kept repeating that they should keep the starting lineup in tact because for a 20 game stretch to end the season, the analytics said it was the best starting lineup in the NBA.

    Blah blah blah

We’re too undersized 1-3 to be a contender. If it wasn’t for Olshey’s love affair with CJ we would’ve upgraded our size and versatility years ago.

I've always felt he was an awesome writer no question. Just don't usually like him or his motives. Comes across sleazy and wanting at best. He isn't alone. Even more are there nowadays. Just to put it in perspective John Canzano also touted the Telfair pick. He wrote a whole piece about how watching a "bounce pass" by him was sooo very telling about how good he was going to be.

I really hope the stream I'm using doesn't go out right in the middle of the game like vs. the Raptors. Sad that Dish Network still has ROOT on their on screen guide, but it is just blocked out 24/7. What a disappointment.

Bulls can’t wear white jerseys on the road or what? Contrast, ever heard of it?

Quick just said Billups had to force Dame to sit out the Denver game to rest.

They’re both dark, not really a contrast.

not with our court design. the paint being red makes it a bit difficult to see what's going on

History of olshey drafts there not many quality players that's been draft. You got Dame and you can probably say CJ been the most impacted players. Still that improving is Simons and Nas. He has draft few good 2nd rounders but they all been traded. Olshey has miss on players that he could have draft but bottom line he blow those drafts.
