If you complained like this, I don't think anyone would have a problem.

    obviously comprehension isn’t your thing.

    So let ME spell it out for you;

ED. DAVIS. SHARED. MORE. MORE. MINUTES. WITH. MEYERS. LEONARD. THAN. ANYONE. ELSE. TWO. YEARS. AGO.

And of course Leonard can’t guard power forwards, he’s not a power forward. That’s not a knock, just like me saying Davis can’t guard any traditional center isn’t a knock.

You're arguing with yourself. You never had to spell shit out. No one gives a fuck about 2 years ago. You're arguing that Butters is better than Davis and I'd wager to say other that @Mote liking your post, no on in here agrees with you.

You want to argue over this? Ok let’s play.

    Davis 2015: 6.5ppg, 7.4rpg, 0.9bpg, 61% FG, 18.7 PER

    Davis 2017: 5ppg, 7.8rpg, 0.8bpg, 47% FG, 14.6 PER

But I’m sure you’ll throw his free throw % at me, as if that turns the tide. I’ll give you that one though, I feel bad :(

OK so. That still doesn't make

    MEYERS LEONARD

    A better backup C.

Davis might have a PF's body, but he has a Centers game.
Literally what the scouts said pre-draft. What they said after 3 years in the NBA, and what they say now.
His game hasn't changed, he hasn't developed new stuff that suddenly makes him better at PF than Center.
Had this argument a couple months ago with some people. Good to see some people are starting to realize the scouts weren't lying.
Ed Davis is a Center in a PF's body. Some might not like it, but he's Portland's best Center off the bench.

How can a guy whos built like a power forward and struggles to defend centers be considered a center? The only reason some people would consider him a center is because offensively, he’s only useful directly under the basket. That doesn’t make him a center though. Just a limited PF. He’s a role player. He’s not the only PF with that type of game.

And like I said, he’s a PF when he plays with Leonard, which is where this whole argument started.

He plays PF on the defensive end when he plays with Leonard because Leonard has the lateral quickness of a sloth.
He also plays Center on the offensive end when he plays with Leonard because Davis can't throw a rock in the ocean from 5ft away.
Ed Davis is a Center in a PF's body. Literally has been the scouting report on him ever since before he entered the league.

    Let’s end this then

Leonard is a center on defense, a PF on offense.

Davis is a center on offense, a PF on defense.

    Cool.

On this team sure. However both play best at Center.
Davis isn't going to check a stretch 4 who can put the ball on the floor.(Imagine him trying to check Green, Parker, Melo, Gallo, Griffin, Millsap, Morris twins, etc)
Nor is he going to be able to switch onto a guard and contest at the rim.(see the Nets game)

Both are best at the 5, and both are limited there.
Of the two, Nards has the tool kit to not be limited at the 5 though. That aint ever going to happen though.
Unless Nards can tap into that potential he has. Davis is the best backup Center on the team.

I figured if the ancient Oracles of Delphi can inhale some mysterious gas and become delirious enough to predict the future, I can too.
