If AJ can pitch like this every game, he will have at least 18-20 wins this year. He is a guy the Jays need and an AJ-Roy 1-2 punch, would be amazing.

Sucks that this year is hit opt-out. If he stays healthy for once, you guys will have to pay a lot this offseason.

God damn contract years. Think is, I know JP is going to have to think about this. Because AJ is injury prone and that money could be used to bring in a big bat next year if Thomas leaves. But right now, I just want AJ to pitch well and think about money later.

Give him a 2 year deal. What big bats are coming out this year and next?

I'm not sure, I'll look it up, but I know we might need some. Just to replace Frank Thomas. However, if Rolan comes back all right, we'll be in great shape, so we can spend the money on AJ.

And if Vernon Wells decides to earn his contract...

You might take a chance on Giambi. He'll likely be type C, at best B.

We keep him! I'm a strong Wells fan, and he is our franchise guy other then Halladay. Plus he just signed a huge contract.

I say we make a run for Delgado again and move him to DH.

How many years and for how much? I'd say 15mil/2 would be fair.

I like that deal. I mean, he would come back to a great city plus, our team has much improved since he left. He wouldn't have to play 1st base all the time and he can switch with Lyle. However, he kinda reminds me of Vince Carter with a lot less drama and more love from Toronto fans. I really doubt he would come back, but I would love it. He would add a great bat, smart player and possibly that extra push we need. Maybe 1 year at about 8 mill, just so he can feel like he doesn't have stay here.

Actually, at this stage, I think he'd prefer to have some security. Maybe even 3 years.

True, possibly finish his career in Toronto. My only thing with Delgado is if he'll take a DH role, or he'll want to play. That can possibly have problems arise with Lyle. Even though competition never hurt anyone, I don't know how well it would work out.

It'd be pretty selfish if he wanted 1st from Lyle. He's great on defense.
