Well the drop back to reality sure wasn't a gradual one. Turner and Harkless are back to their useless selves.

 

Put Layman back in the rotation and/or give Trent a shot.

Layman is a better option to start the game. Heartless is useless. He can't shoot, and his defense is less than stellar He looks like he's just going through the motions. Usual Harkless mode.

 

We’ve been starting and relying on a guy that’s a backup on a real good team for three or four years. I don’t hate Aminu, but I hate what he represents. Selling mediocrity.

 

It's really a shame that we beat ORL...

 

You choose to call CJ selfish.
Multiple people are telling you & others CJ made the right play.(Nevermind the countless times a season teams play time & clock instead of jacking a contested 3 with 5 defenders out across all levels of basketball)
You choose to attempt to change your statement and say. 'Oh we just have a different approach'.
You then choose to play the victim.

Maybe I think too much like a football fan. I'm going to run the clock down before kicking that last field goal. Don't give the ball to the other team with more time on the clock than you have to.
(and yes, I know it isn't a perfect analogy)

To put it in basketball terms, I would trust Dame to make a clutch shot before I would trust this team to get a defensive stop. The alternative of sending them to the FT line doesn't actually work that often. The Blazers went choke city at the line against the Magic and still won.

And for the record, I appreciate you responding in a civilized manner, even though you clearly disagree with what I said.

In a way your right. The bright side is like I said we just gotta go thru this season after that this will be flipped upside down with major changes starting at the coaching spot

 

Nostalgic reasons? Whoa there.....if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't make the playoffs EVER, and we'd be lucky to win 2o games. This team survives mostly on his skills alone.

Come on now. Like I said: there are some things he does that is maddening....he still sucks on Defense for the most part (he has some good moments, but not many), and he complains almost constantly....which really bugs the fuck out of me, especially when he does it during All Star voting. I also think his leadership is lacking at times.....noticeably so. He doesn't rally players at timeouts, and he doesn't huddle the team when necessary.

BUT....again, we're not very likely to get a better player than him, either in FA or the Draft. So I say we stick with him, get rid of that fucking idiot Terry Stotts, and build up a team around him, with other leaders who can take over when they need to.

But with Paul Allen gone, none of these things are likely. Which means that, until we are bought out by someone, we're stuck in purgatory.

But I swear to fuck.....if Neil even thinks about signing Terry Stotts to an extension, I will fucking lose it. That might just be it for me until someone else takes over.

 

No one gonna admit it, but you know who would look good on that closing unit? ....Hehe.
