I think i counted 15 points that came for the Warriors by a tipped rebound that went their way or little miscue that gave them an opportunity to shoot. Blazers very well could have blown them out. Two threes to end the half in particular.

 

Yep. I get it that he is young but right now He needs development. This experiment is not working.

 

If you lose the first 10 games of the season by CJ he has been on fire.
First 10 games he shot 16-48 from 3 point. Not atrocious at 33% but he had some stinkers. Couple 1-6 and one time 2-6. Two times 1-4. 0-2
The Atlanta, Brooklyn and Clippers games were pretty brutal.
Since then he has shot his 33% average at 3 point up to 38% which is no small feat.
Also in his first 10 games he was shooting 73-187 at 39%. Since then he has moved it to 45% total for the season.

CJ would easily be shooting well over 40% from 3 point and most likely over 50% from the field if he was playing at this level all year.

 

This is the difference between them Simons try to be Dame and CJ and not even close to either one of them. Trent trying to play in team system now and is shots was good shots even if he missing there still shots for him. Trent defense is ahead of Simons right now and also show energy and he not afraid of getting is nose in the action. As said last night I starting not liken what see in Simons game.

 

1M is a shooter. He is an offensive player. Hoping they can coach some defense into him.
Here is a metric i have used for quite some time. Minutes played. You give a guy 1000 minutes and see where he falls. The next thing is 1000-2000 minutes you try to develop key weaknesses. Right now 1M has a grand total of 744 minutes played. So you can figure he will continue to get around 20 mins a game for another 15-20 games and they will really start to address his needs.
One thing for certain. By the end of this season they should have enough video and data to make significant changes to his game that will allow him to excel. This is a full developmental season for Anfernee Simons.

Well that is a post that should have been posted in October. As it stands now we are not wrong. 1M needs time to mature and minutes played. The kid is being shut down by men on the court.

Well, you're not someone I'm talking about if you think he needs "minutes played".

 

In the month of December , Carmelo Anthony has an adjusted field goal % of 45 percent.
That is worse by 1 percent than Anfernee Simons.
(Carmelo is doing a lot of good things, but so far his scoring overall has been Ok at best).
Gary Trent Jr. has an adjusted field goal percentage of 16 percent in December.

He's very quick. Almost always can get a reasonable shot off.
