How was Girardi in the middle of that? That was all Nash and Moore taking the same guy and leaving Carter open. Really had nothing to do with Girardi.

Again just a stupid play, double so with under 1 second remaining.

At this point you simply have to give the Kings credit. There has to be a reason we have tons of mistakes and stupid low % plays through 9 periods of play +/-.

It's the truth nobody wants to admit about Hank. He hasn't been what the Rangers needed to have a chance here. Quick has given up goals but when needed he comes up with the big saves. Hank has got to come up with those big saves.

I thought it deflected off Girardis skate but maybe not. It's not on him it's just he always seems to be around when bad things happen.

There is still time for this team to turn it around but they better come out and play a great period in the 2nd

It was bad defense leaving the slot open but I thought it was deflected as well, which if true not sure you can blame Hank. Again its also bad luck but you leave the slot open you get what you deserve

Yep. And here come the "But the defense hung him out to dry!" excuses. Bullshit. Superstar franchise goaltenders make big saves when it matters most. Hank has NOT done that this series. I'm not saying he's the main person to blame, but he surely hasn't done anything to help. That ridiculous paddle save by Quick is a perfect example, or the the crazy flipping blocker save Hank made in game 6 against Montreal. The Finals? Not so much.

The kings have played their best defensive period except for game 1. Having said that, it is just unreal how lucky this kings team is. They get every god damn bounce, it is so fucking annoying.

Hot Girardi's skate as he tired to cover for Nash/Moore. Cannot blame Hank AT ALL.

I wouldn't start trashing a team that has made a run to the finals. The bottom line is against the Kings they have stepped up in class big time and it's showing. For all the credit everyone wanted to give this team for the first two games the bottom line is that the Rangers lost. This game is a must win and they must be a lot better than what they showed in the first period.

Well, here is the series. Kings score on this PP and good night.

BTW...awful start. Like I said, a goal like that to end a period can be a back breaker.
