Yea Hmm CJ. Wide open Dame and you don't even think about passing.

Giannis is the new anointed one. It's that simple.

No, no. I know there was 11 seconds left on the GAME clock... and we got the ball with 30 seconds left. So the shot clock would have been at 6-7 left (the steal happened a second later)

Honestly, with that wide open of a shot, and for it to give us a two possession lead. I take that miss or make. No question. They'll always be the people that bitch about dames shot selection no matter the situation. That situation would warrant a shot... it'd be weird as hell if he decided to drive when he's that wide open.

Just watched the game. Wow. Giannis is MVP this year. We gave it our all but he's good. Any thoughts as to why we only used Turner on him? Why not Aminu?

If Giannis can develop a solid jumper then KD was right, we might be looking at one of the greatest players of all time. He is a monster

I just cant get over this loss, not when you gave them a win, Id rather lose by 30

Dame and CJ cost us a game with those stupid plays, Dame got himself into trouble and there was no going back, but that play from CJ was just idiotic, you have wide open Dame and you wont pass, what a fuck was that, a hero ball, fuck that... Im not bothered by Giannis block on Nurk, thats nothing alike TO from Dame and CJ

I mean, you could have 3-0 road trip, win against a good team that would show we mean business this season and you threw it away... 2-1 road trip would be okay, but after the game we had in our hands, its not good enough for me, this couldve be a huge win, a statement win

Nurk second half was very good and thats encouraging on his part, hopefully full Rose Garden will give him that feeling he had and he will gain confidence, couple of good games and hell be ready to go

Still bummed we let this one slip away, we had opportunities to win it.
Aminu didn't show up, neither on O or D
Encouraged by Nurk 2nd half, he seems to be slowly getting his groove back

All in all that's a tough loss but there was a lot of positive to take away. Onto the next one !

That's the stupidest thing I've read all day, and I read the whole game thread.

I watched this game on the Bucks feed.
    The Bucks commentator:
"Giannis up on McCollum, had a piece of his jersey. No whistle."

Nurkic missed a wide open Patty for the corner three at the end there...:banghead2:

We see Dame get called for a defensive foul, where all he was trying to do was hold his ground against the Bucks guard who initiated the contact, because you're not supposed to make contact with a player above the ft line (which dame was behind), then on the final play we see freak wrap his arm around CJ and knock the ball out with the other. Ridiculous officiating.

Granted, the Blazers did not execute their last 3 plays well. Dame and CJ dribbled deep into traffic without a clear shot. The Nurk block actually should have been a foul, though. If I didn't love the Blazers so much, I'd be so done with the fucking NBA. On one end, the offensive player will plow into the defender and it'll be called a defensiv efoul, on the other, the defender will move into the offensive player, no call.

I haven't seen someone play like that (Giannis) in a long time. The dude is insane. Jacking up threes all night is one thing, but he did it all tonight. Threes, midrange, boards, steals, clutch plays, solid d.

He is the all around best basketball player in the league right now, IMO. This is not KD jumping on an already championship team, or any other of the primadonna piggy backing all-stars in this trend-whore league. This guy carries himself, and his small market team tremendously.
    Hands down my favorite non-Blazer.

Last year there was a discussion about which players were better than others and I took quite a bit of flak for saying I'd rather have Giannis than CJ. You know who you are. D69 was right all along and you're welcome to buy us a beer.

Agreed....it was nothing against CJ, it's just that The GF is that good. I appreciate fans/posters loving their own players but a touch of realism doesn't hurt. CJ is a 'star', but Giannis is a 'superstar' who is marginally better in almost every single category.

Which is why he’s allowed to foul to steal and gets whistles when the defender (Ed) is literally running away from him.
