The worry I have about tomorrow's game is that Houston will come out desperate and hungry. Are our boys as hungry? I hope they have a different attitude than the fan base. Many smell blood and feel confident. Portland needs to remain hungry. Maybe I'm just relaying the feelings left by teams past, but that's a legit concern for me. And what adjustments do we make? It's hard to know where to improve, aside from Wes, Batum, and Lillard knocking down more shots. The Rockets clearly have some big room for improvement, as games 1 and 2 show, but does McHale know what adjustments his team needs to make and can he convey them to his team in a manner they can execute them?

I have faith that LA, Lillard and the boys know this is more than a regular season game, but we saw some letdown a during the season, the fan base is pumped and rearing to go. I hope the boys jump out and get out crowd into a frenzy and can ride the energy to a 3-0 lead. Let's go Blazers! One game at a time - it ain't over yet!

I bet you see LA doubled every time he gets it. If I was Houston, I'd say we let somebody else beat us!

I see this only being somewhat helpful. LA catches the ball outside so often, and other times shoots too quickly to be as effective as it is against some players. If LA can remain on fire, I'm not worried. But how long can dude keep it up?

I don't normally use thundersticks............Free Throw Guy is surely more effective than those........but I will be using these red LED ones. Very cool idea instead of shirts. How awesome will they look during the intro???? Has it been done in the NBA before?

We have the same concern. There's a comfort level when you get back home. I almost wish Stotts kept the team sequestered at a Motel 6 on 82nd, just to keep them in this frame of mind.

To go deep in the playoffs, you have to have a killer instinct. The best model is San Antonio. They play so few minutes because they come out at the beginning of a game and let you know you're in for a long night. Most crap teams fold and give up. Houston is by no means a crap team, but they're almost ready to pack it in. We need a half or three quarters of balls to the wall play to get them to start thinking about fishing.

If we win tonight, I think we sweep. If we lose tonight, I think this series goes six or seven, and I don't know which team wins.

I think the probabilities tell McHale that LA can't stay this hot, and that opening up Matthews or Nico for open looks is worse.

The essence of strategy is making limiting choices. Right now, however, the play of Aldridge is offering McHale a Hobson's Choice: There's no change he can make where we don't have an answer. Unless LA goes cold, they're in trouble.

If I were lucky enough to get a ticket for tonight (hint, hint) one of my main objectives would be to point out to the refs, loudly, that when Beverley is riding, pushing, grabbing and forearming Lillard all over the back court, those are fouls. The fans in the Garden better not let Beverley get away with that shit in our house.

It's true that this team has had letdowns at home after long road trips. It's hard not to relax, crash, chill, and get comfortable when you get home after a long trip. And maybe be a little overconfident and complacent when you are playing a home game. I'm looking for them to keep their intensity, and I think they can do it.

The crowd will be important though. The fans in attendance simply cannot let the team rest on their laurels. Many games, the fans wait for the team to 'give them something to cheer about'. That is not acceptable in the playoffs. We want the team to maintain intensity, the fans in attendance need to bring playoff intensity, and not let up.
